Thanks for the reply. I'll just have to try it when it gets here, hopefully tomorrow.

    Hi,

In your case you had a bad experience with returning a phone (and sent it to the wrong address after refusing to wait or the returns number and instructions to arrive) so it's taking longer to sort out than it should do.

    Regards,
BEN that post had better not be directed at me

Who was it in reply to ???????????????

Last week I ordered a HTC Hero via mobiles dot co dot uk on Vodafone following requesting my PAC code from Orange the previous week.

I didn't think you could port your number to vodafone, unless you buy direct from vodafone. Are you sure you can do this with mobiles.co.uk?

Currently we've disabled the ability to port onto Voda if you buy from us due to the above problem - but Voda have previously advised as part of the relaunch that it should work. As such we were accepting PACs until very recently.

It looks like the communication between CPW's systems and Voda's has some sort of issue with the PAC being forwarded, which CPW are urgently investigating, but currently the only way to port onto Voda (seeing how unlike other networks they don't allow it post-connection) is to buy direct, yes.

I have just spotted this thread, I bought a phone on voda from mobiles.co.uk yesterday, and was able to enter my PAC. Does this mean my number will not go to vodaphone?

    Hi,

I'm afraid it most likely does. Some customers have had success with Vodafone directly after they receive the phone however.

Please let me know if the port has worked, or if Vodafone are able to help?

If you are unable to get your number transferred we will of course offer a full cancellation and refund your postage.
