    Hi,

Vodafone approval for the Hero (product testing, range planning etc) was only finalised yesterday, unfortunately we released the product onto our website early and this caused us and our customers problems.

Does this mean that the problems people have had using the Hero on Vodafone (Facebook and Twitter widgets not updating due to ports being blocked) have been fixed?

    Hi Silk,

Nope still waiting for the rep to respond to my PM about the goodwill gift and number porting. l have also sent a mail to the main mobiles.co.uk order processing as well asking for confirmation, but that was only sent last night, so should expect some sort of reply today.

Hi 888 anyone got back to you yet ???????

    Hi Silk,

The rep from Mobiles.co.uk sent me a pm advising that they are having problems requesting ports to Vodafone, and he would look into the matter for me. So will have to wait and see what happens.

    Thanks for that ;)
No surprise they say they are having problems standard excuses IMO ...probably best to speak to Vodafone themselves ...they're reps seem to be the poodles ;)

Just got off the phone with Vodafone and have been advised that no port has been put in place by Mobiles.co.uk at the point of sale, and my only option was to cancel my contract . Over the last few days l sent mails to Mobiles.co.uk order processing team and they have responded to my 1st mail regarding the port say that once my phone has been activated it will take 48 before the port will take place, and that was on Friday at 6pm, its now Tuesday. l responded to Mobiles.co.uk mail asking for clarification on the matter but still no response so much for their 24 hour turn around. l going to send a Pm to the rep and see what comes of it.

Oh great, I ordered this yesterday and requested a number port. My number was originally from Vodafone before I went to O2 so maybe that might help?

Anyhow my "next day delivery" order is still showing a status of "Order received" so goodness knows when I'll actually get the thing. This is the second time I've tried to buy it as my last order was on the day the Vodafone offers got pulled. Grr!

    Hi 888,
I'm no expert but I'm learning about this ;)
The way I understand it is that it does indeed take up to 48 hours after activation but the order has to be in place to do that and as Vodaphone have no record of it being in place I can't see how it's going to happen
I would imagine they are correct and probably cancell and start again is the best option ??????

My number was also originally vf, but as silk had said if Mobiles.co.uk, dont give vf the pac then we are stuffed. But then you may be lucky.
