Mobiles.co.uk have recalled the HTC Hero - What are my rights?

As you're aware we are very, very busy dealing with customers so we simply do not have the time to continue ongoing correspondence.
Also it seems mobiles.co.uk has had no time to get its return into Companies House on time. (Apart from the possibility of facing criminal charges, the company automatically gets a "late filing penalty" off Companies House)
There is an OVERDUE status showing for mobiles.co.uk at Companies House.
People often use companies house info like this as a simple credit check, ("overdue" status is a warning sign for sure), and companies house does give this warning to companies overdue:
This could affect any future business opportunities as potential customers can search our website which gives free information about which accounts are outstanding. Not filing or filing late could possibly have a consequence on the company’s credit rating

20th August 2009 was the last filing date, 4 days ago?
Hardly a big deal - its normal sometimes accounts are delayed. I was late by over a month with my return for company.
the mobiles.co.uk annual accounts are not due till January next year.0 -
Hardly a big deal.
Your opinion of course.
Nevertheless, the rep has made great play on the reputation of mobiles, (particularly with reference to civil matters in the county courts), late returns is a criminal offence, which could see their directors up in the criminal courts.
They will be getting a separate civil penalty for the late submission.0 -

Careful, Quentin. When you take all of your posts about mobiles.co.uk as a whole, and then weigh that against your personal experience in dealings with them, then I think you are not that far away from them taking some legal action against you.
And I am guessing that Dunstone's pockets are deeper than yours.
I believe that you have moved from trying to help MSE members to waging a personal vendetta against CPW and there is only likely to be 1 winner if they bit back.
Please tread carefully. for your own sake.0 -
The situation regarding their overdue annual return is intended to be public knowledge. Fact - not opinion!
It is a criminal offence not to file on time. Fact.
The staus is "OVERDUE" at Companies House. Fact.
Companies House does give the warning I quoted. Fact.
Whereas you just guess "Dunstone's pockets are deeper" than mine! And what is your point in guessing that anyway?0 -

Its not the accounts that are late, its just the yearly return registration form (from what I can tell). I forgot to send mine in by over a month and got a snotty letter from companies house saying if they dont get their £15 they will strike my company of the register. I had forgotten - simple fix.0 -
Hi,
Not my department - obviously - but I'll be sure to query this with The Carphone Warehouse.
Thanks,“Official Company Representative
I am the official company representative of Mobiles.co.uk. MSE has given permission for me to post in response to queries about the company, so that I can help solve issues. You can see my name on the companies with permission to post list. I am not allowed to tout for business at all. If you believe I am please report it to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com This does NOT imply any form of approval of my company or its products by MSE"0 -

Well, because I don't see him saving a couple of bob going for cashback deals himself, I guess.
Look, I don't give a t*ss whether you continue along the lines you are doing. You clearly have, in my opinion, lost the plot as far as what this section of the forum is about and why people come on here - they come on for help and advice, not as a ready made audience for your personal gripes about CPW in general. There is a section for ranting and raving and that is where most of your recent posts should be.
I made my previous post as a view that was supposed to be helpful TO YOU, but, hey, just ignore it. No problem.0 -

I doubt very much you want to help me, in view of previous antagonistic posts you have made.
In fact I give you free reign to say whatever you like about me as I am pressing your "ignore" button.0 -
Did you have to get in touch with Vodafone or did they contact you? Did you put your new SIM in when you got it, and did it work?
Thanks
My voda SIM did not work when received, the phone number quoted on my Mobiles paperwork was the one to be transferred.
I called Vodafone to "activate" the SIM and was advised of the port date.
I did not realise the dead sim was normal for Voda, in the past I have had SIM cards with a temp number which ceases on port day.
