Why not play safe and go for another 2 or 3 days?????????
Can you do that without paying a whole month's extra subscription?

I don't see why not. If your T&C's say you need to give 30 days/1 months notice, then give that notice after the 2 or 3 days have kicked in. I would imagine that you will receive a new bill for the 2/3 days of line rental plus of course any call charges. Worth asking.

I sent off my 1st claim last week by recorded delivery. Have tracked on Royal Mail and it was delivered on Thursday. I sent them an email same day asking them to confirm that all was ok with the claim and have not had a reply yet. How long should I give them before phoning ?

It certaily loooks like they are heading in the WRONG direction.
I'm disgusted by their attitude and was hoping for something better after the Mobileshop fiasco, which at this moment doesn't actually look as bad as it seems. Maybe I should have stuck with the "Devil I know".
I can't beleive they can amend the original contract mid-term, but who knows???????????? Even Consumer Direct aren't fully sure if they have "covered" themselves and I will have to wait until Trading Standards investigate, rather than just "wading in".
Maybe more peolple need to contact Trading Standards especially with the above problems when they say that the bills etc. are missing. It would do no wrong to build up a case history with these cowboys.
Incidentally, since my complaint to them, I have now received 2 emails. One stating all was ok with my claim and the other stating my claim has arrived at the processing centre.

    1st email;
    Hi,
I can see everything was received fine. Based on the date of receipt
your cheque will be despatched with in the next 4 to 5 weeks. We
    apologise
    for
the delays we are encountering at the moment, however we are
    endeavouring
to get payments out sooner if possible.

Please send your next claim as usual.

    Kind Regards
    Mobile Affiliates

    2nd email
We can confirm your claim has arrived at our processing centre and has
been scheduled for assessment. We will update you by email when your
claim has been authorised for payment.

  • I have tried trading with cool new mobile and as far as i am concerned they are rip off merchants.
They charged me £10 for sending in the wrong bill, yet the correct bill which was duly sent off on time was "lost in the post". I would not recommend this company.

How exactly does that make them rip-off merchants? You broke the terms and conditions, and you didn't even pay the price - all cashbacks cancelled.
yet the correct bill which was duly sent off on time was "lost in the post".
...because you didn't send it recorded delivery? Yes, it's quite possible CNM were throwing away all non-recorded bills - burt terribly unwise for you not to have protected yourself from that scam.

Based on conjecture and your own mistake?

Got to agree with that....for CNM to pay out everyones claims is impossible, as according to my service provider they lose £200 on every completed deal, they have to sort out the chaff from the wheat, and unfortunately(although not morally correct) those that dont adhere strictly to the rules are punished....My claims are taking over 60 days, but so far(touch wood) they've been ok, waiting for 4th...........but had both confirmations.

Today I received my 5th and final cashback cheque from CNM, not once did I receive acknowledgement of any of my claims (which were all sent by recorded delivery) and I had to harangue them for each cashback cheque. The final cheque took almost 10 weeks to arrive from the time I sent in my claim form. This level of poor service put me off taking out a new contract with them and I have taken my new one out with e2save !'Out Of The Firing Pan.......' - perhaps
