My emails were the same as yours. ie I would receive correspondence from them within 28 days. I didnt so I sent a reply, but the email address does not accept incoming emails.
I shall try claims@coolnewmobile.com
Thanks for the info.
I have received my cpw cashback and this was sent a month after cnm!!ACII and Chartered so now I can focus on learning to play my beautiful Sax. 🎷0 -
I have to say in this point I have mixed feelings about coolnewmobile.
Got my contract out with them last may, just completed a full year.
Had no problems with first 3 cashbacks, didn't get them after 30 days as quoted in the terms and conditions, but not too far from that.
Sent my 4th cashback claim more than 60 days ago. I got an email on the 21st of march that the paperwork has been submitted to the system (about 2 weeks after I sent the forms recorded delivery), and then a week later another email stating the claim is being assesed and they will send out the check within 28 working days.
Somehow my original 30 days got streched to over 2 and a half months and I am begining to worry.
Called last week and asked what was going on - was told its in the finance department but they could not give any details to when the cheque will be posted. How come if I make even one mistake or miss even one day - they can cancel forfeit the whole cashback, but if they do not pay more than 30 days after they were supposed to - they don't get penalized at all?
One more thing their customer support told me was that they changed their terms and conditions and now it states they will try to send out the payment within 28 working days, meaning they are not really obligated by any deadline. That must be illegal as well - they can not change the terms and condition to customer who signed a contract according to those terms.
What would happen tomorrow if they chose to change the terms and condition and pay within 100 years ?????? or perhaps not pay at all !
Tomorrow I am going to call them with a last warning.
After that I am goint to small claims. :mad:0 -
Best of luck, I've taken out a contract with them and I'm about to submit my first claim shortly. I agree with what you are saying and they can't change the conditions of your contract without you agreeing first.
I personally will give them 1 week after the 28 days and will then inform them that they have 1 week to pay before court action will be taken to recover all future payments as they are in breach of contract. This is of course only if I don't receive my cashback.
Stringing payments out seems to be a trend at the moment (Mobileshop thread) and you have to be firm and let them know that they are in breach, something they will obviously know.
When you say 28 days is just a deadline, I believe any court will side with yourself if they still haven't paid after 60 days (more than double), which is totally unreasonable (IMHO only). What would happen tomorrow if they chose to change the terms and condition and pay within 100 years
I will get my great grandchildren to chase up my claim !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:rotfl:

So that's 42 working days from receipt - about 60 real days. I don't see how taking them to court before then can speed up the process.Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.0

You see it different to me gromituk.
upto 14 working days from receipt to load
28 working days from receipt to process
That's 28 days from receipt to process, not another 28 days from load to process. My opinion only, but that's how I read it.

Got my 4th cash back 2 wks ago. sorry didn't say sooner but have been ill.
Just waiting for my last one now.
I have just taken out 2 more contracts with them via quidco they have paid the quidco. and 10 for recomending my partner.0 -
Called the other day after more than 2 months not getting my cashback (my original T&C stated 30 days - not 2 months) - Spoke to a woman in the cashback department and she promissed to send the cheque on that day. I finally got my 4th cashback today.
I am glad I got it - still annoying you need to chase them and they pay you with such a huge delay.0
