A lesson for everyone is very clearly being spelt out when you read these threads. You MUST send claims by Recorded Delivery. The cost is minimal when you look at the consequences of having Cash Backs refused. Any company can say they have not received a letter posted 1st class,. How can you prove it was sent ?
Any threat of legal action would be laughed at.

I've tried calling Cool new mobile today on all the numbers I have for them and no answer. So I'm emailing them. Is any one else having the same problem? I got my first cash back ok. More than 28 working days have passed since my last bill was submitted but i've heard nothing.
As to which bill to send in. I find it helpful to look at the bill number. I am with 3 and the bill that i received immediately on connection was numbered AHA0#######, the second AIA1#######. They increase each month. So my bill that i sent in after 4 months connection was ALA4#######.

CNM e-mailed me on 14th march that they had received my claim and would send paperwork within 28 working days. that was up this week so rang them several times and eventualy some woman answered. She said that my claim was fine and had been passed on to finance to raise the cheque. She asked if I had received the emails?? to which I replied yes and your time is up. She said finance should also send an email. Still none the wiser to when the cheque will turn up but seems like the paper work trail is going very slowly.
Just sent off my last claim so that will probably take 2-3 months.
Trevorh any news on yours? we seem to get cash back at roughly the same time.
Oh and before I forget CWH gave me a replacement referb phone for my faulty samsung D500 because when it came back from the phone fixer it wasn't fixed. better than nothing.0 -
I used onecompare.com for buying my latest mobile phone.
I bought it from coolnewmobile.co.uk but my cash back for Feb 07 still hasn't come even after repeated emails. They promised to pay within 12-15 days in the begining of April. But still no news. They do acknowledge that they have received the bill on time and every thing is in order. that was in begining of March. Now even the next payment has become due.
Is any one else also having trouble with cash back.
Is this company going bust??
Also as I'm coming to the end of my contract and I'm looking for new this company seem to have the best deals on onecompare but if they are not going to pay its not worth buying from them.
Please advice.0 -
There not going bust but are taking a long time to send out cashbacks, keep emailing and you will get there in the end. for cashback always go for a big company like caephone warehouse and e2save, all companys seem to be lacking in sending cashbacks, I personally would never do a cashback deal as its to much hassle.0

I feel sorry for these people who lose out, but do you think they read the TandC's.
These type of companies can only payout to those people who follow the rules, because of those that dont.
I'm with you, on your last point, any threat of legal action is pointless...... where's the proof of posting/receipt??Couponing....."every little hurts"

But all the people can't be all right all the time. .........I think Abraham Lincoln said that.

You havent heard anything????..........not even confirmation of receipt.
Did you send it recorded delivery, if you didnt, (IMHO) you've lost everything.
If you did, get onto the post office using your recorded delivery receipt, for proof of receipt, then get onto CNM.
All cheques are getting later and later, but some of us are still managing to communicate with them.
Addendum....My cheque cleared over the weekend, and within 2 days of sending, they've acknowledged receipt of my 3rd cashback claim.......lets hope this cheque doesnt take 2 months.Couponing....."every little hurts"

I sent email to "care.fulfilment@dextrasolutions.com" and "claims@coolnewmobile.com" and asked them for a projected date on cheque arrival got a reply from "claims@phoneboxdirect.com" saying "your cheque will be despatched within the next 1 to 2 working days".
So heres hoping. I always send the claim recorded delivery.Nice to save.0 -
Similar story with me.. Sent claim (recorded delivery) no email and no cheque.
After 2 months (whilst filling in the next claim) I emailed them and put the royal mail link into the email with my tracking number which showed they had signed for it some 8 weeks earlier.
2 days later recieved a 2 line email apologisng and my check arrived the same week.
I think they chance their arm that you'll forget, not make a fuss or have no proof of posting..
