hi there all.
i have messed up with my claim form, having completely forgotten to submit it, and remembered it 2days after the 30-day limit period.i sent it the very same day and informed cs abt. the misunderstanding...is there any chance that theyw ill honour it or does it mean that i am left with nothing...anyone with their experience?any suggestions?0 -
I'd be very surprised if they honour it, sorry - people in your situation make their income after all. It's easy not to forget if you set the process in motion the minute your bill arrives.Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.0

Vikktor wrote:I have been with coolnewmobile for a few months and Ive just sent my 1st cashback claim. But I have a real dilemma as Im not 100% Ive sent the correct bill according to their terms. I was connected on 27/07, so 120 days would be 27/11, but my 4th bill was dated 23/11, which is 4 days short of being 120 days or 4 months. So instead I have sent the 5th bill dated 25/12. But the terms also state (in bold):
"Send us this form and the original bill that arrives showing you’ve been connected for 4 months. I.e. if you were connected on the 1st of January, you need to send in the bill that is dated around the 1st of May. This is 120 days (4months) after connection."
So according to that sentence I should have sent the 4th bill dated 23/11 as it is around 4 months later from connection date of 27/07.
What does everyone think? I posted the bill 2 days ago 1st class recorded and it has been received, now I will wait for an email and hope they will accept and process it!
My doubts have not materialised and today I have received my first cashback, hand-written cheque. Like some mentioned previously, sending a cover letter with your assumptions probably helps a lot.0 -
CNM have been good for me (also Phoneboxdirect - same company really)
Never had problem receiving cashback - does take time to get cheque though (almost 2 months).
You just need to make note of one you joined/connected and then look at the instructions on the cashback form (get them to email you one so you can easily print out the forms yourself).
My current one I joined something like 20 May 06. After 4 months I needed to send them very first statement and also statement I received around 20th September. I needed to send them the form/statements off before around 20th October.
Not all contracts are the same - this is a 12 month free one and you get cash back in installments in month 4,6,8,10 and 12.
When I had a different cash back contract the installments were differentsunil237 wrote:hi there all.

If you sent it late they definatley wont pay up. rules are rules. They are simple to follow if you read them thoroughly, the best way to ensure you get your claims in on time is as soon as you get the phone figure out when your claim dates are and then set your self reminders in the new fone they have just sent you!! this cashback is not for the disorganised but where a valid claim is submitted to them they will always pay up.0 -
+Has anyone had a problem sending claims by Recorded Delivery ? I was going to send mine by Special Delivery with Consequential Loss Insurance but is this necessary, it's a big difference in cost.
Thanks

Ive used recorded delivery and as able to verify it had been received online within 2 days. Dont know how often Royal Mail loses recorded delivery letters though.0
