  • I'd insist on a letter of apology written in blood - taken from the carotid artery!
The bankers stole my pension (and everyone else's). It should have earned a lot of money, but they took their bonus pot first.

Try not to get emotional guys.

This is about money, forget revenge and concentrate on maximising the cash.

consequential loss insurance starts to eat into your cashbacks significantly, and all it will help with is if it's not delivered on time or at all. It won't pay out if CNM subsequently refuse the claim on any other grounds, as that's not Royal Mail's responsibility. As you get proof of receipt with recorded delivery, as long as there is plenty of time before the deadline I'd say that method is perfectly adequate, especially as now photocopies of the bill are acceptable, so if undelivered you can send again.

Did you know that Recorded Delivery letters are just sent along with the normal mail?

How much would it eat into your 'profit' if its lost. ;)

I believe people need to lower their expectations of making a profit with cash-back deals.

Simply breaking even is the place to aim for.

I use my quidco money to "Pay" for my postage costs, so I have a free phone, minutes & texts at a nett cost of approx £0 at the end of the 12 months.

Aiming for profit is a quick-fire way to getting your fingers burnt. :A

Erm yes - why else would they only cost about 70p?

Nothing - read my posting properly.

  • I disagree about not aiming for profit; I've made profit on ALL many numerous phones apart from one, which actually cost me 1 penny because it was never connected. Besides, sometimes there are nice little bonus profits along the way if you get lucky! Personally, my profit already means I could lose around two total cashbacks and still break even.
  • More fool you I'm afraid. I WOULD never agree to not receiving my costs back. Cost them zilch to try it on and pay as late as was possible - cost you, though!

Agree with mj here I'm afraid. Trying it on with 1,000,000 people costs them £0.

I think thats their current tactic because my wife has had a phone call off them. I think they;re trying their best at the moment to stop people doing this and adding the whole claim in etc.

No way I would be out of pocket for them !!!

    Sahmed,

You are sure you did'nt post the bill earlier.

There are a few people who have successfully got their Cash Back with things having been 'lost' in the post.

    Neill

    thanks Neill

but royal mail website still unable to trace my mail. as of today, it is 22 days from bill date!
If it says something like "out for delivery" then it's because the delivery office scans the items wrongly. Call them (use SayNoTo0870) and they will tell you the real situation. Remind them that others have complained about this and they promised to contact the delivery office to stop it happening.

Call the complaints department for missing tracking; they may be able to find it. I had one where it did track but without a signature - they added that after they searched. However, on one other they WROTE to the company to ask THEM whether they recived it and you DEFINITELY don't want them to do THAT!
  • Success !

Just had a call from CNM. My cheque has been posted today and sent Recorded Delivery. The lady agreed that they cannot alter T&C's for an existing customer when the new terms are to the detriment of the customer.

I would suggest that anyone who signed up to earlier terms which stated payment within 28 working days make sure you get paid on time.
