You MUST, absolutely MUST, get your envelope contents verified by an INDEPENDENT WITNESSI'd really recommend you send it in by Royal Mail Special Delivery with added Consequential Loss Insurance.Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.0

Don't be too shocked !

As you get proof of receipt with recorded delivery, as long as there is plenty of time before the deadline I'd say that method is perfectly adequate, especially as now photocopies of the bill are acceptable, so if undelivered you can send again.
Life's experience has taught me, things can go wrong.
Also, a very slight edge to SD is that, I believe, it must be signed for individually, not block signed as happens so often. OK, so you might argue this isn't critical, just mentioning it.The bankers stole my pension (and everyone else's). It should have earned a lot of money, but they took their bonus pot first.0 -
Guess what!? Another change in their t&c. Even the "45 days" is now more ambiguous. 18 month contracts have 6 claims, mostly in successive months right at the end – so you’ll have to wait about 2 YEARS for your money IF they’re still around, at the present decay in payment timescales continue. What’s the betting they’ll try it on with existing 18 month contracts now and attempt to enforce the new t&c rather than the ones people signed up to recently? No prizes for the answer!

Cheque for full claim recieved today and straight into bank before this lot go belly up, it can only be a matter of time.
Would you believe the cheek, they included a letter requesting I keep the details confidential, yeah right!
They also included a letter for me to return acknoweldgeing full settlement of the claim they included an addressed envelope, but no stamp! Hmmm let me think now, shall I spend a stamp on this lot? :rotfl:
Suggest a good plan is to use the CNM deals to produce a better upgrade offer on your current contract.
PS The letter also told me I can earn £10 by recommending friends, so if anybody wants a phone.................................................
By the way CNM and phoneboxdirect are the same people, I know this 'cause phonebox direct staff have signed the court papers.0 -

OK, The contract was bought 26 May although the contract started 30 May.
26 May + 120 days = 23 Sept.
The first bill I received after that is the 15 Oct bill. (phew, I think that bits right:T )
I will write in both the full years amount (£420) and the claim amount (£84), just to be sure.
The paragraph below the instructions for each instalment says, and I quote
"Subject to you having remained connected on the original price plan chosen; we will send you a cheque for the relevant amount of cash back within 14days, direct to your home address"
This is an exact quote, complete with typos... I dont imagine it will make any differance to the time it will take to process, and it doesnt say when the 14 days actually starts!!!:rotfl:
So do I get the witness to sign the bottom of the claim form to say he has seen whats included, and so the people at that end know this too. (maybe sheet 1 of 5, sheet 2 of 5, etc) I have taken the precaution of stapling the claim, despatch note and the complete bill all together.
Obviously I would get him to sign my copy of all the documents I send as well.
Spoke to Joanne at 0870 0427 895 today and asked if the despatch note was the right sheet as the referance number is very different to the one on the "Thankyou for your order" email I recieved. She said that is just a wharehouse referance, and the sheet I was looking at is the right one. Has anyone been denied payment because of the despatch note being the wrong one? But then I didnt get any other paperwork so maybe I am freaking my self out over nothing:eek:
Royal Mail SD for sure...
When you say you spoke to Joanne this was probably Joanne Slater one of scamming dog turds ( to use analyst's phrase ) behind this company. Good luck and just be careful when you claim & copy everything. You will probably need it for court proceedings that they will bottle at the last minute.0 -
I agree, now that photocopies are accepted, you could save this cost, but bearing in mind there is potentially £420 hanging on the first claim at least, I don't think its a bad price to cover your @rse.Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.0

Thanks everyone.
Will get independent witness as sugested, and include a covering letter also signed by the witness. All sent SD with Consequential Loss Insurance.
Maybe if they see that I'm saying "Listen up Bucko, I MEAN BUSINESS" as analyst said, they will just cut to the chase and send the cheque. I might even include a line about the 14 day turnaround...
I will keep you posted0 -
I went down the route of following the rules, and when payment was rejected I used moneyclaim online.
Last week I recd a phone call from a nice lady in the marketing dept (completely separate from payment dept she told me etc). she said as I was good customer they didn't want to go to court and offered to pay my final 2 cashbacks (I sent the cashback application for cashback 5 as normal during the fight for cashback 4).
I recd the chq on monday of this week and have been told to lodge the chq and wait till it clears before cancelling my moneyonline claim.
One thing I would say is that when I spoke to the lady on the phone I did not confirm that they should pay me the money owed PLUS the money claim online fee. Hence while I happy, it has cost me £30 to sort this out.
I was going to call them back and argue, but I will take it as a lesson learned, but wish to pass on to others to make sure you INSIST that all payments include fees. Good luck all0 -
More fool you I'm afraid. I WOULD never agree to not receiving my costs back. Cost them zilch to try it on and pay as late as was possible - cost you, though!0
