I wouldn't o as far as to say they're scammers, just a rather ruthless company who will do anything within the law to trap their customers into not getting their money. I have heardfrom quite a few people who auccessfully played the game, navigated the minefield, came out the other side and got their cashback without difficulty.

I think most customers fall into the trap of not reading the Terms and Conditions carefully, or if they do read them, four months down the line when it comes to submitting the claim, they think that the terms are the same. Either thator they just slip on something minor, which Coolnewmobiles capitalize on.

    Cheers an take care.

    Hussein.

I can't believe they can get away with changing the T&Cs after you've signed up for the deal, especially if they don't inform you. I'm sure the small claims court would take a very dim view.

  • Could someone help please. I am looking for a good deal on a new mobile contract.

I did a search for best deals which looks at different companies. The best one is coming up with a deal that offers 12 months free line rental and also free texts and minutes, which means that I dont pay anything, the company is called CoolNewMobile!

THERE HAS GOT TO BE A CATCH! Obviously I will pay and claim back the cash back but this still seems too good to be true. Does anyone know anything about this company? ARE THEY DODGY!!

    PLEASE HELP :
  • These deals are genuine enough but you have to be very exact with the dates for claiming cash back.

These firms bank on people forgetting to claim and if you pass the deadline the small print will say that you cannot claim.

I am scouring to find a cashback deal as I am coming to the end of my 02 contract through Mobileshop. All these details about CNM are a bit scary but I CAN recommend Mobileshop who have paid up without any problems (just post the vouchers recorded when you're supposed to) for each of my and two of my friend's cashbacks without any problems at all- their telephone service was excellent as well, and quick. They have good 'totally free' deals at the moment. I would go straight back to them if they offered a similar deal NOT with 02, who I cannot obviously rejoin. Just thought this may be of help to anyone dipping their toes into mobile 'cashback' territory for the 1st time. Cheers.

    Hi All,

I need your help in calculating my 1st ever cashback claim ?I have called CNM & tried to figure out but they have really made me crazy so I have turned to u people for help!!

I received my mobile on 02-05-06 and then I got my first bill on 05-05-06.Now I have received my 4th bill on 05-08-06.Now according to T&C I have to send the bill that shows that I have been connected with them for 4months i.e 120days after connection.

Can you please tell me that do I have to send bill dated 05-08-06 or do I have to wait for the September bill?

I"ll be soooooooooooooo thankful to you for helping me sort out this problem!

Having studied thier Terms and Conditions, In my opinion, you have to wait until your September bill, which shows you have been connected for the said 120 days.......and if you send in the August bill, they will charge you for sending the wrong bill, and stop all your redemptions.

From joining them in eary May, your first 30 days is early June, 60 early July, 90 early August and 120 early September......so sending in early Augusts bill only covers around 90 days.......and it stipulates around 120 days.

Make sure you fill in the form correctly and send it with your original bill (after photocopying it) by recorded delivery.

Please report back on this, as this is my plan for December.

Hi...Why can't you just take another deal with Mobileshop.....or are all their free deals only with O2.....and why can't you go back with O2.....I had 2 consecutive deals with Orange.......

I have also gone through mobileshop in the past and can highly recommend.

I dont see why you cant go through them again with o2? whats the problem?
Or is it that you want to keep your number?

If so, just do a temporary PAC to a PAYG sim and then PAC back to O2 with mobileshop

I don't think they have anything as good as the deal I've just taken out with CNM on Three - a 6280 on Video Talk and Text 700, 12 month contract with full cashback (apart from 99p/month itemised billing and £2.50 admin fee) - with 30MB internet data allowance per month if you sign up before the end of August.

Having said that, I also recommend Mobileshop - just coming to the end of a SIM-only deal with them and it has all worked fine so far.
