how long does it took you to get modem ?
I ordered about a week back, no email/letter or modem received as yet..!All I ask is the chance to prove that money can't make me happy.0 -
Well, since I'll be moving from Ace soon, thought I'd e-mail Primus with a few questions. Don't really like the idea of being locked into a 12 month contract again; mostly because I'll be moving in 4 months!
I'll see what their response to my questions is before I take the plunge.
Any info on bittorrent speeds? Are they throttled or caped?0 -
Well, they made a mess of my sign up. They put the wrong details in for the MAC code especially when I repeated it numerous times to them. I now have a new signing up date of 27th June. This means I shall be cut off for 10 days when my existing contract ends. I just hope the service is good. If it is not, then I will be terminating the contract within the 7 days cooling off period.0

as it sounds like they are reactivating your line (from what you said)... tecnically the calling off period starts when you begin an order with them
for example... if i ordered a new broadband connection today from them... and BT activate it just over a week later, just when i change my mind.... then the cooling off period is closed..... this is why new broadband users generally have to wait for at least 7 days before broadband is enabled... as an ISP has to fork out somehing like £47 to BT Wholesale to get you connected.... and that would be quite a big lose if you change your mind..... therefore i would say your pretty much tied in0 -
My modem arrived about 10 days before my connection was due to start, then a few days later a letter arrived to say the connection was live. So I was up & running before the date given, although I had a few teething probs. (see earlier post). I think all new contracts are for 12 months, if you want to take advantage of the special offer. Can't complain about the service though."0844 COSTS YOU MORE"0

Using Azureus 24/7, no noticable speed issues. On par with Freedom2surf who were 'uncapped'. Can sustain 230+K/s from a well seed torrent at peak times. Then just have to seed it for 10 times as long. Its in the small print they have an AUP or Fair usage policy so give it about 9-10 months and im sure we will see some usage restrictions or port throttling kicking in. With encryted data streams in Azurues it might not be such a big issue anyhow. I was promised there would be no cap in the first 12 months. So if they do, I can break the contract and go elsewhere (if there is anywhere else).0
