Will you let us know what they say?
Hi Jo4, I rang to make sure my letter had reached the Customer Service manager, and I was told that my account was about to be credited (by more than 1 month's subscription fee) for the inconvenience caused by the lack of service. I haven't been able to get confirmation of this yet because I am unable to log into the Account page at the moment.

I have now received a letter from the Operations Manager apologising for the broadband outage and also confirming the credit.
It's good to see that Primus management are taking steps to improve their relationship with their customers...better late than never. And full marks to the very helpful Customer Support staff. Hope this encourages all other customers who were affected by the outage to write if you haven't already done so.

Apparently my contract is up on the 27th December and I was wondering whether I should stay with Primus. They said that 1mb on a 12 month contract is £14.99 and £13.99 on an 18 month contract. Is there better broadband providers offering similar deals or should I just stay with them?

I renewed my contract for 1 year at £14.99 and got 8 Mbps plus free evening and weekend calls. Tell them that's what you want or you're going to Talk Talk.

Apparently I can only get 2 Mbps in my area. I wonder are they open today, if not are they open tomorrow again so I could telephone them then?

I was talking to Billy from Primus within the last 15 - 20 minutes. He said that I did not need to renew my contract. He said that I could remain on the saver 2 option, free evening and weekend calls, and stay on 1Mbps broadband for £14 a month. He said that if a better deal came up that I could then consider taking out a contract or changing to the better deal as I would not be in contract.

Gary, customer services, said that my account would be credited next week with the £53.94 from my contract which has just ended. He also said I could either leave the credit on my account or I could have the credit paid to me.

Happy days, no broadband bill for almost 4 months! :j :money:

Good for you, but you should have tried to sweet talk him into the 2mpbs service for the same price!

Gordon from Primus has just emailed to tell me that my broadband will be £14.99 a month. Why does one staff member tell you one thing and another staff member tel you another?

Just to advise anyone who uses Primus email that there is a problem with the service today and Customer Support is aware of the problem.
