This seams a good deal but what happens after 12 months. Does the loyalty credit/cashback continue or does the special deal come to an end so you pay £17.98 per month without any further credit/cashback? If no credit/cashback it would be time to change again.Alternatviely AOL are offering Silver 1mb at £9.99 per month.Regards

£9.99 to existing AOL customers only, without a wireless router.
£14.99 to new customers with a free wireless router worth £60 ... and you can go through quidco for £45 cashback.0 -

AOL works at £10.00 per month (after quidco payment) for 1MB. You can still do BT + Primus Saver 2.
The bonus though is that AOL give you a wireless router worth £50 apparently. The cheapest wireless router on ebuyer is £45 inc delivery.
The downside I thought would be the AOHELL software ... but no ... not with a wireless router handling the connection.
It seems first month is now free as well, another £15 bonus. My friend just subscribed and it was on quidco within 20 mins0 -
Chumana wrote:The bonuses are only credited to your Primus account and not given back in real money. Maybe they are expecting people to spend their bonuses on phone calls, but anyone using Primus phone package sensibly never pays a penny to them for calls anyway!
I asked how the credits/rebates were paid and received the following email reply;
"The rebates we give you are added as credit to your Primus account. If at any stage you are in credit with us, you can claim that money as cash and it will be paid straight into your bank account. If you cancel your account with us then you have six months to claim any outstanding credits, but if your account remains active there is no time limit to claim your credit."
I've obviously kept this for future reference, because as you quite rightly pointed out, I do not intend to have that much in the way of call costs. So, if at the end of 12 months I want to switch to someone else, I have their email to use to claim back the credit.0 -
Has Primus BB got a website up and running yet where you can see what`s on offer and sign up?0

Did Fast 4 give you the new rate of £4.99 per month? If not, I bet you are not best pleased. Regards."0844 COSTS YOU MORE"0 -
I have to agree that I am extremely satisfied with the service. There were teething problems in getting connected (namely a 2 month wait) but once it was all sorted it's great. It's the 1mb deal but speed is good and the support is on freephone.0

I agree i'm almost 2 months in with a 2md conection and apart from problems on the 1st day which they sorted out it's been great0

I signed up with them a month ago, but my dates for connection came and went. They said that my order was with BT, and there was nothing they could do to hurry it up. They never contacted me with any information, and I was told different things by different people. Today I contacted BT wholesale, and was told the 1mb service was not compatible with my line. When I contacted Primus to cancel, they just said "It's a common problem".
I wish they'd told me this a month ago, as I've been managing on dial up .
I'm annoyed that they did not make an effort to chase up my order, and if I hadn't contacted BT Wholesale myself, I would still be waiting for them.
I don't feel they've quite got their act together yet.0
