I have CPW O2, nothing received....All I ask is the chance to prove that money can't make me happy.0

I have Phones4u O2 250 (but billed directly from O2), no e-mail received. Strange, though, as I do get bill alerts through e-mail.
Oh, well, I hope a printed letter will come that I can hold in my hand while requesting cancellation. :cool:0 -
You probably received this notice, because your communication with O2 is only online.
For those who receive paper bills, O2 are probably writing to us all now.
I have 2 contracts, 1 directly with O2, and the other with CarphoneWarehose sending the billing for O2. Only recently signed up with them, so don't know if O2 have changed the terms for new customers with immediate effect (I did join middle of April)
I have confirmed that my 0870, and 0844 calls were taken from my inclusive minutes, and with a new customer offer of 2000 to use every month, thats alot of calls to my just dial number (and the odd call to friends on O2)
Another interesting point. Does it mean "Any call made on or after 1 July" or "Any call that appears on your July bill onwards" which would incur the 25p per minute charge?0 -
Hi,
with regards to the email i received on friday, i have phoned the customer services and spoke to their manager with regards to the cancellation of my on-line contact.
The line manager said that i can cancel my contact but i must return the handset but with no canacelling charge.
Can anyone advise whether o2 is allowed to take back the handset please?0 -
It' is not mentioned in their terms and conditions that the phone must be returned if you cancel during the minimum period. Try to speak to someone different the next time you call CS and find out if they say the same thing.
It might also depend on how long you've held your present contract.0 -
For people who have just cancelled.
So do you get to keep your number as well? i.e. do they give you your PAC code if you cancel on these grounds.0 -
i have been with o2 for 6 months now. but i still think that i should not have to return the headset.
HAve anyone try to cancel their contract after receiving the notice about the introdution of new charges for non-standard numbers?
can anyone advise whether these new charges will affect our Retail price index RPI?0 -
thier t& c for highstreet customers clearly states that you dont have to return the phone if you are cancelling due to 02 defaulting in any way.0

there is no mention of the phone being returnable in the case of a cancellation . I would call the manager back and say there is no mention of the phone being returnable if the contract is cancelled according to section 8.4 of thier t&c0
