Excellent news.
Got my PAC
What is the cheapest network to port to? T-mobile say phone an 0870 number.
Is there a website you can enter all this in to get it done automatically?
O2 allowed you to do this all on-line. Excellent. Link for that: http://service.o2.co.uk/IQ/SRVS/CGI-BIN/WEBCGI.EXE?New,KB=Companion,question=ref(user):str(Mobile),CASE=12343
Wow just saw a deal I would like to share - as this is a money saving website after all.

Can I ask if once you received the letter did it say something like: 'This could include a charge for any remaining months you may have left on your contract, if you are leaving us before it ends' (First page of the letter)?0 -
I've made a profit out of it all. My phone was cancelled and I got a £63 credit, however I only got charged £12 for porting out my number.0

Erm, no. You should have contacted them when this first came up - now you have got no chance. The only people who may have a case now are those that Orange refused to terminate when they had a right to (when the price changes were going to happen).
You are too late now.
I could see this possibility - it was inevitable Orange would do something to stop people leaving. It was just what that was going to be.0 -

They should not have charged you to port your number. You should have been able to leave your contract without charge. (Or 'penalty' if you want the exact term).Erm, no. I cancelled on the 6th. didnt recive my pac code. rang back to find out why, they say they have no record of me cancelling, or a pac request.
Pure lies, are all their calls recorded. Have I got a leg to stand on?0 -

Not all calls are recorded, but everyone that access your acc leaves a trace on the audit trail. You should call back and a get to a team leader who can access that kind of info (and the recording if it was one of the calls that was caught).
I'd try week days between 9 and 5. At weekends there can be one TL to 3 or more teams and getting one can be a very long winded affair. . .0 -

Yes. You now classify as one who was denied there right to cancel.
Phone Ofcom get reference number. Phone Orange's CEO Office and tell them the situation. Explain you are now in the position that you were denied your consumer rights and which that now they are honoured and you be released out of your contract with penalty.
If this does not happen. Ask for a deadlock reference number and then raise this up with CISA. Or alternative just wait for Ofcom to comment on the matter. But this could be a few months yet.
Best Case
Orange CEO Office (who are a friendly bunch in comparison to there disconnects team in my opinion) sort this out and you get your PAC Code.
Worst Case
Ofcom find Orange - 'fair' in there trading pratices. And you have to keep paying till the end of your contract.0 -

I would send a recorded delivery letter to Orange stating the date and time of the phone call. As you are aware Orange will have a full log of the outgoing calls to your handset including the calls to 150. If you called and cancelled the contract before Orange changed their minds then the call record will be your evidence.0
