hmmm I used the PAK code and I'm supposed to have my number ported from Orange to Virgin Mobile today. But for some reason, my Orange sim is still working and the number never got ported.

Anyone with similar experience that are due to have their number ported today?

I was ported from Orange to O2 yesterday, no problems.

    One happy chappy :j

Thanks again to everyone who gave advice last week re keep on trying to find a friendly rep. Got £150 through Quidco last December. Due another £40, plus £30 cashback and sold old phone for £60.

    What a result

Just read this, can not believe they got the charges wrong! they say it was going up to 14.7ppm when it was only the minimum charge that was going up.
  • I spoke to Orange EO Tuesday at 10am, before they'd U-turned, and they processed the contract & service cancellation then. However, today my phone still works. They told me it would go off at midnight on wednesday. Can feel another long winded phone call to their disconnections dept coming on. I hope they stand by their "will honour any agreed cancellations" statement.
  • Hi Bagpussboy, when my 2 wer cancelled they went off at about half 8ish in the morning so give it another wee while hun

Mobile giant reverses decision to raise the price of calls following complaints of potential breach of terms and conditions
Mobile phone giant Orange has reversed its decision to put the price of its calls up next month after the Guardian contacted it suggesting it was breaching its terms and conditions by not allowing customers to leave.
"Orange apologises to those customers who found the messages unclear and any subsequent misunderstanding this has caused. We will be reviewing all policies and procedures for price changes to make sure that they are clearer in future."
However, for those customers who have already confirmed their cancellation and requested to transfer their number to another provider, the cancellation still stands.
  • Well I phoned Thursday last week, cancellation was agreed, and PAC was to be sent out in the post. I'm still waiting for it! Was going to ring 150 to see where it is, but thought I would check my online bill first to show call was there - it doesn't show in itemised listing! Is this normal? Should I ring them and ask them to text my PAC? How likely are they to say that they never received the call?

Going on what a few people on here are saying, if you have requested your PAC and they are meant to be posting it out, when you call up to enquire they are denying all knowledge!!!
hope that doesn't happen for you

Just spoken to their terminations dept. again. Told that a PAC number has been issued & en-route to me via post - its when I use the number to port my mobile number that it disconnects my Orange phone. Just waiting on that letter from Orange now!
