They have revoked the charge so nothing will change that way.
*Why on earth and I helping Orange out..lol Maybe their rep needs to get back here and deal with some of the questions *
Haha. I think they learnt quickly from all the questions about the 'cooling off period' - leave customers to calm down before coming in. Emotions will still be running hight right now - which they are. But by coming in, commenting and then running it does look a bit bad also.0 -
I spoke to them about this and they told me that unless you opt out you will be sent an itemised bill at the cost of £1.50. they also said there would be NO paper invoice sent at all if that was the case, the options wer paper itemised bill at £1.50 or no paper contact from them at all and you could just view your bill on-line0

Revokes as in...They are not going to change the charges
if you had a free paper bill before you will still have that now.
If you paid for a full statement paper bill then you will still pay.
What it really means is no change.
What you had before you still have.
Nothing has changed at all..........It was going to change and it was going to be £1.50 for ALL paper bills. 14.7p for voice mail etc but none of that applies now.
What we are really left with is nothing, Contracts are the same as before this text and will remain as such
However it does not change the fact that some people got new phones etc and others got NOTHING...hardly good practise for such a big companyThere is a race of men that don't fit in; A race that can't stand still;

I was told today that paper invoice was free again. The changes have not taken place so if you paid for your bill before you will now.
It was only those that had the free bills that would be made to pay for them and they have revoked that now..
i've literally had that text half an hour... thats why i said the plot thickens!Mortgage free wannabe!:

Love,
They have 2 kinds of bill...one that is full itemised. That has alway cost money as it shows every call and how long etc
There is the second that is free which just shows the amounts.
I have the second because if it is the amount I expect all good. If it is over I call or go online and get someone to go through it.
They were going to change it so you could not get a paper bill for free at all but that has changed againThere is a race of men that don't fit in; A race that can't stand still;

I only used to get a paper invoice for free, but last month they sent an itemised bill and charged me for it!!!! when I called them about it they said letters had gone out with the previous months bill informing me of the changes!!! and if I wanted to opt out now they would do that for me but they definately charged me for it0

An itemised bill is something quite different from a statment..
I get a free statement but nothing more and I got no letter. First I heard was this text about the price change and that made me find out about bills.
I suggest that someone has played dirty with your bills.
I also suggest that we really push for the Orange rep to come back and answer all concerns.........There is a race of men that don't fit in; A race that can't stand still;

I have always only got the free invoice, so knew something was up as soon as I opened it. God knows what they are playing at.
I'm not a halfwit I know the difference between the free invoice and an itemised bill0 -
After reading this forum last week I called Orange up Last wednesday morning, told them I wanted to cancel my contract, I got the obligatory - your contract isn't up for renewal until July therefore you will need to pay a buy out fee. I told the guy I spoke to I was cancelling due to a change to my terms and conditions and after he checked that I received my text message and asking if there was anything he could offer to make me stay my contract was cancelled all in less than 5 minutes at my first attempt. I now have my pac code and an o2 Simplicity sim in the post.
Once I get the sim and let o2 have my pac code my contract will be cancelled and i will actually get a signal in my new house!0
