  • I just got of the phone to them and they told me the following,

My PAYG simcard will arrive near the end of the month, once activated this will cancel my contract

So it seems if you requested a PAYG simcard it will still be sent out :)

    Ok, plain stupid question:

I have agreed to the "new" terms&Conditions on friday, which will not be changed though.

So, they will go back to the old ones, which basicly means.... I have to agree again?!?! If I am not completly wrong, I can cancel again?!?!

I guess " Communications Act 2003. Is quite strange - it covers a price change whether it be more or less." that works in my favour?

    Does anyone have an idea?
  • Just spoke to Orange and got my PAC code over the phone.... Got the person's name and ext number. "Just in case"

This is great. I get to leave Orange because of a change they were going to make.... Then I get to come back to Orange on the same T&Cs as I did when I first joined and the process keeping my number getting a new phone and some cash for it all. :D

    Great stuff

Highly unlikely. They will just take everything back from you as it is change of mind within the cooling off period...
  • Whats the best way to port your number to a PAYG sim?
Surely you just by the sim and it has a number? Do you then ring the network and swap your number over?

How long untill I can go back to orange? on the same terms and conditions! LOL
  • My boyfriend cancelled his orange contract on Monday no problems, didn't check if he went over his minutes etc, is only a few months into a 24 month contract, new orange customer. I, however, have been with Orange for years (despite numerous problems over the years) and am in month 12 of an 18 month contract. I tried to cancel last night, 'Liam' was very friendly and polite until he decided that I couldn't cancel because I 'hadn't gone over my minutes in the last 3 months'. I asked him to show me where this clause was in the contract - he couldn't. I explained I am a legal professional and know my contractual rights, yet he remained rude and said I couldn't cancel, despite me pointing out that I am entitled to under the terms of the contract. he invited me to 'contact their legal team'. He then said a note had been put on my account to say I am not allowed to cancel!
I had to leave it last night as after wasting an hour of my time got nowhere but was left fuming. I was going to try again today but it looks like I'm stuck with it now as Orange have back tracked on the changes.
Ah well, needless to say I will NOT be renewing my contract in February......

Interesting considering all the csa's are meant to have been briefed that Orange are not implementing the changes now.
