Orange Price changes ?
Comments

Ok, plain stupid question:
I have agreed to the "new" terms&Conditions on friday, which will not be changed though.
So, they will go back to the old ones, which basicly means.... I have to agree again?!?! If I am not completly wrong, I can cancel again?!?!
I guess " Communications Act 2003. Is quite strange - it covers a price change whether it be more or less." that works in my favour?0 -

I pay my bill on time and never have a problem with the customer service etc but it would seem had I yelled more I would have got more and that just is not fair.
One rule for all or none, but it seems that if people left even with no reason they get offered a whole lot. Those that did not want to leave get offered nothing.
Not really good customer service and once my contract is over I will NEVER go back to orange or recommend them to anyone as I know feel let down even though I supported the company (to some extent)
I tried the customer number and got " yes customer relations might be offering new phones or contracts but that is down to each rep"
I can't see how reading all the posts here anyone can think it is fair.
Its not fair and this is where I really hope Ofcom come in. They dont reward paying customers just ones thinking of leaving. 10% loyalty? Yeh if you stay on same plan - hmmmm... new times and better plans mean you will get a better deal.0 -

I completely agree, they are absolutely ridiculous... Customers for 18 years (and not small bill) and they refused to give us a phone...
Not only that - just got a message that they did review of my plan and apparently I am on the best tariff - what a rubbish!! I never reach even HALF of the free minutes and texts I am paying for!!! There are tariffs better for me with them - and I haven't started talking about comparison to other networks yet. Only checked that out because really wanted that phone and what I found out was real shock for me.
They are joke. Once I am out I am out. They would have to pay me to stay now.0 -
UNBELIEVABLE! i rang up on friday they said i could cancel and that my pac code would be in the post. Rang today and asked where my pac code is and they said they have no record of me calling to cancel at all!!!
And now because there not changing the t&cs i have no right to cancel!!
I am SO angry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What can i do now?????!!!
All calls should be recorded, ask them to dig out the recording.0 -

Hi
I'm with Orange on their 'Virgin Equivalent' tariff which i took out in 2001. I pay 15p p/m for first 5 mins of calls each day and 5p p/m for remaining minutes with no extra monthly charges and with free voicemail. Does this mean that these charges will no longer apply now that orange have decided to have a 15p min call charge? I did call Orange to ask but the operator kept me on hold for so long i decided to hang up.
Thanks0 -

Just to clarify once again, due to feedback from our customers we are no longer going ahead with the proposed price changes.
If you have already requested a PAC code, you will still get it if we have agreed to it.
Unfortunatley I can't comment on individual cases, but if you have any more questions or want to take any matters further please contact our Customer Services dept.
Here is a copy of the statement our Press Office have issued to media:
"Orange recently decided to make changes to contract customers' call charges for out-of-bundle minimum call rate, international calls from the UK and pay-as-you consume data browsing.
However in listening to our customers it became clear that some of them found the messages sent to announce these changes confusing about who would be affected and how. This is obviously not our intention and therefore we have decided not to go ahead with the proposed changes.
It is normal practice for businesses to make pricing changes, and whilst we clearly cannot rule out any future changes we know that transparency and consistency in our policies is extremely important to our customers. Orange apologises to those customers who found the messages unclear and any subsequent misunderstanding this has caused. We will be reviewing all policies and procedures for price changes to make sure that they are clearer in future.
Orange always strives to deliver the best communications and we hope that these steps will overcome any confusion and frustration that our customers felt."
