Orange Price changes ?

I tried to cancel my account with these tips earlier, but Orange are obviously rather busy and put the phone down as soon as they answered it

I signed up for 2 phones with them approx 10 months ago at the same time. 1 phone got a text and the other didnt. Same tariff. I phoned orange they are sending a pac code on 1 however on the 2nd they say a text was not sent so I cant cancel. They said I can cancel when i get the text.

Strange.

I have 3 contracts with orange, one that is up now, one that i upgraded on May 09 (18 months), and another that I got in January 09 for the ASUS netbook (24 month) I spend about £140 a month with orange mobile, plus £10 for my broadband.

1. Can i get out of all 3 contracts?
2. Can I cancel the two new contracts, and keep the third one? (ready for upgrade)
3. Do you think i can use the threat of leaving to get the phone i want? (currently only available to Orange Business customers)

Thanks in advance, this is a very interesting thread, surely orange must have realised that we can all read and use the internet. They obviously dont give us the credit we deserve. (no pun intended!)

I've also received this txt, but only at lunchtime today (28th), and I have been out of contract for the last ten months! Unfortunately, I deleted it before reading all the info. here. Although I am always within my minutes allowance, I admit I do always go over the txts.

I was considering going on to Orange PAYG before this T&C change, as I was originally told I could keep my number if I stayed with Orange for my PAYG, but they now say I can't keep my current number (which I really do wish to do). Anyone else come across this? I thought the number was supposed to be portable these days and am disappointed to find this does not appear to be true.

I can't cancel my contract because I don't have one to cancel!

If the handset is a business only model it won't matter what you say the business dept is separate from domestic and they don't have access to the stock. . .

Is there a way to get out of a business contract.
My agent has stung me over a £5000 cashback deal. almost 12 months into a 24 month contract

Ok, fair enough, how about keeping one of the contracts and cancelling the other?

As long as they're not linked (2 handsets on one acc) than I can't see there being a problem.

The agents can do a post code search on their system which will show all live acc's at an address. But very few of them know how to do that. . .

All three are on one account, oh well never mind. We never go over the minutes anyway, but one of the phones was bought through Carphone Warehouse which I regret, the insurance is a rip-off and they spam the number regularly. Thanks for your assistance.

Can someone please clarify the changes to the web browsing costs?

I am currently on the 500MB bundle package, but I regularly exceed the 500MB.

Are these changes going to increase my bill or make it cheaper?
