Can i ask the benefits of cancelling, im on a 18 month contract with orange from June 2008, i get 600 mins, unlimited texts and unlimited Internet, the phone i got is a N95 8gb (which was good at the time) and im paying £17.60 a month, - Surely there would be no need to cancel as i wont get this offer again

Did you really get the text?
Nope :) and I'm not sure why I didn't or a lot of other people. This is effecting everybody so everybody should be informed. If somebody found this out after the date the changes took place I'm sure they could still cancel as they would have not been informed about the changes.

The reason I ask, is that I cancelled yesterday (without receiving a text) and I've just received a text from Orange asking me to call them regarding the conversation I had with them yesterday. I'm quite worried that they've called my bluff and aren't going to proceed with the cancellation

You can sign up for a 12 month sim only contract for cheaper

O2 have currently got £100 cashback on their £20 sim only tariff - 800 min and 1600 texts + unlimited internet

Works out to be £11.50 per month

I wouldn't worry I think that will be a customer feedback thing right? Nothing to do about the actual conversation but I could be wrong.
