    I'm 101% sure.
I think you're wrong on this

    http://www1.orange.co.uk/service_plans/downloads/PAYM_PriceGuide20090601.pdf

That's the June 09 price plan and the increased prices are included in that, so at the moment I have not grounds for cancellation.

If you can find some loophole I can use, I'll be very grateful

I am still so confused about this, we have two phones on Raccoon 20, taken out in August last year, one of the phones has had a text saying that the contract is not affected by the price changes, and yet the other phone hasnt had anything (mind you, they are both on the same contract)

Its the minimum call charge that is changing from 5p to 15p that is the reason that you can cancel your contract. In the PDF specified it says that they are 5p so these are the old terms.

I'd love to help you but I'm in the same situation. I'm on a Racoon package, taken May 09 but have not had any texts and tried calling Orange without much success!

Just gave it another shot and they told me straight off that it's not affecting me. So it seems like the 4.9p rise to 14.9p is only affecting those on those contracts prior to June 09.

just spoke to orange again to confirm that i will not be charged anything and it turns out it was not done properly the first time around.

girl on the phone said that u have to give 30 days notice which starts from the date u request ur pac code. they prorate that last bill so u only pay for the number of days that you use.

    did anyone else get this?
