Has anybody received their PAC code yet?

If so, how long did it take to arrive?

To the people who have said their contract will be terminated in 30 days, what does it say on the upgrade section of your account? Mine still says it's 11 months away so it means my account hasn't been updated. I successfully managed to cancel on Saturday so surely my account wuld have already been updated? I'm worried now that Orange won't go through with cancelling my contract in a months time.

i was in a similar situation. what will happen if u dont call them is that ur 30 days notice will start once u have used the pac code. what u need to do is give them a call and tell them to change it. i did this yesterday and they are ok about it.

just cancelled now, asked for a ref number, but said i didn't need one! hope he wasn't lying.

    ummmm

also said that everyone who was sent a txt message was recorded too- and anyone who didn't recieve it who cancelled would be liable for the rest of the contract, do you think this is just scare mongering????

The ref number is a lie, people on here would have mentioned it. I think it's a way of trying to catch the liars out. I also had one guy ask what date it got sent out on.
I got told the exact same thing, that it was recorded, that the phonecall would be recorded. Also the same thing about if i hadn't recieved the text, that i can and will be liable for the buyout charge of the contract

just spoke to orange again to confirm that i will not be charged anything and it turns out it was not done properly the first time around.

girl on the phone said that u have to give 30 days notice which starts from the date u request ur pac code. they prorate that last bill so u only pay for the number of days that you use.

    did anyone else get this?

I got this as well. When I got through the girl I spoke to sounded very tired of going through the routine, tried a couple of steps to stop me cancelling but it went through.

I was told I had to give 30 days notice, and my cancellation date would be next month. She did say I couldn't migrate the number though, which is obviously not correct because I could have pressed and asked for a PAC code.

But as I've just switched to the iPhone I'm not fussed about changing my number now.
Seems like different answers are coming from different customer service people, so we'll wait and see what happens in 30 days.
  • im on dolphin 20 contract and have been for over a year now but i havent recieved the text!

I'm scared to cancel because i don't want to have to pay the buyout charge. I still haven't recieved this text. I'm on Dolphin 30, others on that tarrif have recieved the text. Apprently their systems are down so they can't check who has and hasn't recieved the text message.

i was told that mine would be cancelled tommorrow,

and i meant i wanted a ref number just incase they didn't cancel it.

regardless of messages being sent out, if its a cost change across the board for all customers, its still a violation of contract wether you have recived the txt now are get it at a later date surely??

Just got off the phone to Orange. I signed up to Dolphin 35 (18 month) around December last year. I don't think I've received a text, but tbh I would have likely deleted it without thinking if I had. The woman on the phone told me that it definitely will not be affecting my contract and that I will not be seeing an increase in my minimum call charge! Does this seem right to anyone?
