Hmmm ok, but is it true that they wouldn't lie in saying they have terminated your contract? Because I don't know if we'll get written confirmation before the next bill.

u will not recieve written confirmation!

what i am planning to do is to get my new phone about 5 days before my next billing date and use the PAC. if i get charged by orange, i will return the new phone (as u have 14 days) and continue the orange contract(i will of course argue first)

I will be recording my phone call when I do it some time this week. I have Ultimate Voice Recorder on my N97 so if I do manage to get mine cancelled and they say otherwise then I will have the evidence to say otherwise ;)

Do you think I should phone them back to confirm? It all went a little too smoothly and there's no evidence of it on my Orange account page or anything. I have a name and an extension number but for all I know it could've been a lie. Surely that's not legal though right?

With thousands of people cancelling, I doubt they'll suddenly forget about everyones cancellation

I'm on the Racoon 45 Websave 12month package, took a new contract out about 2 months ago. From the T+Cs for Racoon, it seem like they are already charging me the new changes. The Racoon T+Cs are applicable from March 08, link below:

    http://www1.orange.co.uk/service_pla...oon_terms.html

Can any one please advise whether I'm affected as I have NOT received any text yet?

    Thanks in advance..

Just called Orange and was told that the contract I took out, Racoon 45 Websave 12month, on May 28th 09 already included these charges and I am not affected!!! She said I could read my t&c and these changes are included for me!! :((((

    Is she trying the tricks?

I've just spoken to them and they've informed that that the minimum charge of 4.9p won't be changing on my contract.

I'm therefore confused as to who is and who isn't affected. I've spoken to 3 different advisors at Orange, who have informed of different things.

One Said: I'm going to be affected by it
Another said: As I signed up after June 09, I won't be affected by the change
The other: I'm not able to cancel, because I haven't exceeded my usage.

Can anyone please inform me clearly, who is and who isn't going to be affected by the changes?

I was really shocked when I phoned up. I said I received a message from you saying my charges were going to increase and that I wanted to terminate my contract. The woman said ok and asked if I would like to keep my number. A pac code is being sent out to me and when I bring it over onto my new contract the orange one will be cancelled.:T. All this happened in 3 minutes which most of the time was waiting to get through! Thanks for posting this and good luck cancelling your contracts!
