Orange Price changes ?

A PAC allows you to take your current number to another network. If you just cancel the contract you lose that number.If the disconnection is activated it is too late to get the PAC. When using the PAC you have 30 days to use it and your contract ends 30 days after using it.

I wouldn't advise you use any networking equipment that any broadband provider offers, they're almost always atrocious. Get yourself a nice Netgear DG834G - should be about 40 quid, very sturdy bit of equipment and you can use it with whatever broadband provider you go for next as long as it's not Virgin cable internet.

Incidentally, a tenner a month for broadband is quite reasonable depending on the package you're receiving. I pay £17.50 for mine but I'm quite the techy geek so go for nice and speedy 20mbit line.

I haven't asked for a code though so why are some people getting disconnected straight away?

vikki, i think people are leaving for a variety of reasons. i have been trying to cancel for a while as the signal was shocking, but got told that as they hadn't changed anything, there was nothing they could do. i was able to make emergency calls only in most of the places i went and the customer service was a bit on the rubbish side so used this as a way of escaping!

Others have used it to get a better deal or a new phone and others want money from quidco!

if you haven't asked for a pac code, you could try again and ask to get disconnected immediately but then you could have another battle on your hands! it does say in their terms that it's 30 days notice...but i guess they aren't really referring to those at the moment :rolleyes:

What is the direct combination of numbers to phone after 150? I usually go to 1 then 3. What is the cancellation one for this?
