Good Morning everyone.
Well I finally have a whole day to myself & I don't have to go to w**k, woo hoo. So today I intend to finish my housework early & then do a mega cooking/freezing bash. I cooked a gammon joint & a pork joint last night & also 3 casseroles 1 beef & 2 turkey, next on the list is 2 kilo's of mince to be turned into cottage pies & spag bol sauce. I need to get of the pc & get moving.
Hugs to all

Morning all,
Well done Dilbert!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! posted at last, keep it up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(((((((((((((((Hugs)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))to those who need them today.
Not a very bright morning here, OH is off to garden, I am just having a coffee to start the motor before I 'do' the living room hall and stairs...........
Well I had a letter yesterday from my ex masters in the civil service telling me my pension is going up......................wait for it...................by just over £20 A YEAR....I sometimes wonder if its really worth all the effort of doing the calcualation....I will have to think very carefully about what I am going to spend my extra cash on!!!!!!
Not a bad nights sleep last night OH has a cold, but he made himself a toddy and did not keep me awake coughing so thats ok.......apart from the cleaning I have to prepare a large portion of tomato sauce for pasta, my grand children are coming for lunch tomorrow..........after that nothing much else planned. Remains of the leek and lentil soup for lunch, toad in the hole for supper not made up my mind about a dessert yet..........
PP glad you have a day off from the needle nurse............
Queenie......I will put my thinking cap on fancy a malt laof, will have to have another free ride on the bus to the health food store.
Oh I nearly forgot, yesterday I opened a Bank account with A & L we have banked with Lloyds TSB for a long time, but last year they closed our local branch, the nearest branch does not have a car park or any nearby parking..........A & L has a big branch at our local shopping centre, so a free bus ride to pay in cheques, we are only using the car for the heavy shopping right now, we either walk or go on the bus. I have to start and build my reputation with a new bank but it will save us over £100 a year in fees on our account, and is more accsessible for us. Cash machine to draw money for shopping.........
Right I need more coffee to get the little grey cells working...... see ya'll later...........

Well good morning to you all, this really is an early post for me.
We have just returned from dropping the kitten off at the vets, she is being spayed today!!! I am going to be totally beside myself until 1.30 when I can call for a progress report. I miss her already, I am sure I will end up chatting to myself soon as I talk to her all day usually.
I have a few bits a bobs planned for the day but nothing to strenuos (sp) as the yoga class I took yesterday was too advanced for me and I am really feeling the aches today, I think I will retire to the bath in a mo with my Boots bargian 13p bath power and a book.
I am not sure what we will be eating today as I have been too worried about the kitty to think about much else. I may make chilli but i'm not sure.
Have a lovely day all and I will post back when kitty is home.0 -
Morning. Wow it's busy here again today.
I'm still quite tired and achey from my shopping extravaganza yesterday, but i felt lots better, and slept undisturbed, so it obviously did me good.
I've just sat and wrote to do lists each day between now and friday when we go to visit the out laws. 10 things for today, so i had best make a move fairly soon.
My BIL put a bit of a dampener on our trip yesterday. He rang DH up to tell him to tell me not to go on about my pregnancy in front of his gf as she is still feeling tender about a miscarriage she had i January. It's made me a bit cross as i wouldn't be insensitive anyway, but it is bound to come up in conversation, and its not like i can hide the fact that i am pregnant with my growing bump and perpetual morning sickness. So i am now dreading walking on egg shells all weekend so i don't upset her. She is a bit moody anyway, and goes in a huff at the drop of a hat, usually with BIL. All the pictures of her at my wedding show her scowling as they had a row the night before. Hey ho.
Unfortunately, i think as its the first grandchild my MIL and FIL will want to see the scan picture and talk about it. What do you do? I think i might let them initiate any conversations, and try and do it in another room. But then she might get in a huff cos we're leaving her out. She's a very immature 20 yr old.
pooky - enjoy finding yourself the dream holiday. I would love to go there when we have kids so i should probably start saving now.
Jamiedodger - well done on your savings - just read your update on DFW
Vicky - hope the dentist doesn't cost you too much.
pp - i'll be down near you i think over the weekend. My inlaws live in Greenwich. We have plans for a boat trip up the river and a visit to the science museum. Hope the weather is nice.
Well as it's already raining here, i think i should now try to get on as some of my jobs involve trips to the bank and supermarket. i may take the car
