Good Morning everyone
Hazy sunny morning here in London, hope it stays dry still got some washing out from yesterday.
Had busy day yesterday, went and got DS2 go kart which DH put together last night, needless to say he's up early and raring to go!!! There was a great bargain in Big W yesterday, they had the last little tikes go kart reduced from £49 to £15! but did DS2 want that one? - NO! had to have black n red one from Argos! (very quiet indeed - everyone must be away)
Usual cleaning stuff, WM, hoover, wash kitchen floor, done ironing.
Took kids to park in the afternoon.
Did shephers pie "a la delia recipe" yesterday, yummy. Also had first attempt at bread and butter pudding from recipes on here - came out fine, just need to put more sugar and mixed spice in next time - but was very happy at least it came edible!!
My mum is really loving all this cooking lark - she loved shephers pie and b&b pudding - suppose it takes her back to her days. She also loves BS malt loaf and the bread pudding!
Finally went through freezers and did a list of what was in them - so i should be able to do menu planner now!
Ordered DS1 a laptop from dell after advice from thread on here :T
and to finish it off - got very apologetic email from virgin wine after i complained, saying very sorry about the customer service i received saying i had to pay extra and will be dispatching another case of wine with no further charge!!! :T :T :T result!
B - Muesli
L - HM Potato soup I forgot was in fridge!
D - Sausage n mash (using last of potatoes)
followed by last of bread n butter pud.
Wishing everyone a great OS tuesday!

Morning
Thanks for the kind comments on my new shoes yesterday. I think it must be a woman's equivalent to a bloke wanting to get a motor bike to be honest. I've wanted a pair for years and years and resisted.
Now I have to catch up after all that shoppin. The dreaded w**k today!
Hugs to allMy first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead

Good morning everyone,
(((((((HUGS))))))) to everyone!
Well, busy day for me today, have 1 little one and 2 big ones today, plus my own 2 but its only for the morning as DD has to attend the fracture clinic this afternoon, re her broken arm. I guess they will xray it again and see if they want to put it into a cast, poor thing iof they do, its so high up her arm they wll have to cast her whole arm, which will not be comfortable. Never mind, i dont think she will be climbing any more trees in a hurry!!!!
Need to put the WM and BM on, but did a big clean yesterday, so not too much left to do. Also want to make a stew for later in the SC, DS has football training tonight, so either has to eat early or late, so the stew will be perfect as it will be ready whenever he is!!!
Right, better go and start the jobs before the little one gets here, going to make an easter chick with her today!!!!
Take care everyone, hope you all have a good day xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
Shez - well done on the case of wine.
Day three of diet here so:
b - porridge and chopped strawberries
l- last of the tomato and butternut squash soup plus 2 ryvitta with chopped banana
snack - grapes
D - vegetable chilli plus diet youghurt and fruit
late eveing - banana
Got a bag of carrots and two packs of vine tomatoes at 5 p each last night in Morrisons - so next batch of soup will be carrot and tomato.
Hoped to get out in the garden again today, but its raining. I am clearing a small overgrown and weedy area to make a veg patch. Well actually I think it will mainly be soft fruit, especially raspberries and rhubarb as I love both and they are so expensive.
Plenty to do in the house though, and would like to visit some cahrity shops.0 -

Good morning all!
Well it looks like a nice morning at least, so the washing is out flapping in the breeze in the sunshine (not sure how long that will last, it's supposed to rain later) so making the most of this morning.
Had keep fit last night, and have put on weight. Not surprised after being away last week
A very strange thing happened yesterday. I noticed one of the goldfish in the pond was lying at the bottom of the pond in a very odd way, so got the fishing net out & tried to catch it - it shot off at a most peculiar angle, with something dark and about the same size attached to it. Eventually I caught it, and found that it was in the grip of a frog! Having been unceremoniously fished out of the pond, the frog hopped off and the fish was fine and swam away, presumably relieved.
DS & I came to the conclusion that the frog is a very lonely male. It has been calling for a mate, but as ours is the only pond in the vicinity, he is destined for failure. We concluded that his approaches to the unfortunate goldfish must have come from extreme frustration and desparation :rotfl::rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Morning all :hello:
Shez - your shepherds pie sounds divine! Any room for two more adults at your table?
Racy - don't blame you for wanting a pair of lovely shoes like that. I've always wanted a lovely Mulberry handbag, but I'll just have to keep on waiting for that!
Queenie - that bread sounds divine!
jw - best of luck to your OH for his interview. Fingers crossed!
PP - way to go! Consumer power  and a free lunch
Snowy - those bran muffins sound interesting. Do you have a recipe that you could post on here please?
AussieLass - when I handed in my notice before I went to teacher training college, it was the best form of relief ever! Good luck!
Edinburghlass - of course Warburtons counts because my dad grows some of the wheat that goes into itCan't you taste the high quality?
Prudent - sounds like a yummy day of food today for your diet. Not that I'm always thinking about food
Well, Dilbert has left for work complete with a chickpea salad for lunch. Very yummy. I've got some left over pasta with veggie sauce for lunch today that I'm taking with me to the dentist (though I will eat it when I get out).
I'm dreading the dentist today as I know it's going to be expensive before I even step through the door. I couldn't find an NHS dentist when we moved over here, so I've had to go private. He's a really nice bloke, and really gentle but still..............................
Better go and get ready.
Bye

We've got a million and one frogs in the pond this year and it's almost overflowing with spawn....everytime I venture into the garden, the whole pond seems to surge as they all dive for cover......I'm surprised there's enough room for water!
Had a nice meal out last night, the chef at our fav. place has changed, the new menu isn't as adventurous but was still tasty - even more so as MIL paidDuring the evening the inlaws asked if they could take us on holiday next year...said the only concessions were, I organised and booked it (seeing as I'm great at finding a bargin) and that we went to Disneyland Florida!!!!!!!!!!! :j (They've given me a £6k budget for 6 of us for 2 weeks...... ) We're not going to tell DD's until much nearer the time - the excitement will be to much!
One little one here today, we're going to make an easter card for his parents and have a general play day.
B - Toast and fruit
L - Fruit and water
D - HM veg soup
Continuing my 6-8 pints of water a day - I've managed to loose half a stone and drop a dress size in just 3 weeks, it's amazing!
Hope you all have a great day,
Good luck at the hospital later Cat"Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0
