Try to go out to do shopping but popped in here first - fatal! Have not had brekkkie yet either.

DD (17) brought letter home last night to say that due to her good gcse results she can apply as a "talented and gifted" student for special programmes being run.

She also got a really good result on chemistry test!:j

Went out and got special treats to celebrate and after eating the curry DH says he prefers mine.

Sometimes he does say the right thing!

Listed a few more books on Amazon but sales are quite slow at the moment.

    Hugs to everybody.

    morning everyone
have just realised that the extra dinner i made last night to bring into work for lunch is sitting in the fridge.... d'oh! (and it was a nice dinner too - had left over limes and went through the cupboards to find anything that would go with that and made a lovely coconut paste, lime juice, soy sauce sauce with chicken and bacon - not enough chicken so padded it out with bacon - felt all virtuous and OS!)

but i cycled to work today to save wasting money on the bus - was embarassingly exhausted when i arrived, but better now!

better get back to it, hope everyone has a good day

    Afternoon all,

2nd load of washing drying in the sun and the breeze :)

DD is on day 2 of potty training, so all my thoughts of OS are firmly on hold at the moment.

Made a small pad thing for the car seat last night (there ya go, OS, phew ;) )

Working up to being brave enough to venture out with DD to my friend's who is about 15mins drive away ......

    B - Cereal
    S - Sausage Roll
    L - Beef salad roll
    D - Dunno

Right, off to work out what mountain of stuff this new phase in DD's life needs to leave the house with ;)

Tootles can I ask how you do your crumble mix? I made a couple of crumbles the other week and got recipes from a cook book that had honey in it, made the crumble crunchy, then i did the usualy flour, marg, sugar, but it didnt come out like i used to make, I cant remember what i used to do, maybe it should be "butter" rubbed in and not marg?

just curious as to what someone else does.

LOL Glad at your menu for the day :D DH is off to the dentist again this afternoon, he was hoping to have a tooth removed but his abcess has flared up again so it's back on the antibiotics for him too :(

I am more than pleased with myself as despite being really stiff and achy this morning I have still managed to get DD to school, put some washing on, tidied up DD's room and tidied and dusted the living room.

I don't have to worry about tea as DH will be unable to eat when he comes home and the kids want crispy pancakes and hashbrowns for tea. I have a few bits of junk food in the freezer from when Mr T decides to stop stocking things and starts selling them off for 20p! They come in handy when I have to feed the children separately and the odd junk food meal doesn't hurt them as long as it doesn't happen very often.

I managed to buy stardrops yesterday and started cleaning at 11pm and I couldnt stop :T this stuff if brill :T

    Have a good day

I went to buy my stardrops today - all excited because I found it in the shop and had never even noticed it before! However when I went to the till to pay along with my lunch and various other yellow ticket bargains I'd grabbed I found out I'd left my purse at home -

Still onwards and upwards, took a sneaky look at some furniture today that matches what I bought the other day, but am going to save up for it - honest!

And actually turned my fridge/freezer back on yesterday so could had porridge with a cup of tea for brekkie - lurvely. Found out how to use the WM I've inherited so does this mean that for the first time in four years I'll be able to hang my washing out on the line?! (Advantages of having a garden). Fingers crossed.

Hope your all ok and catching up on that sleep.
