    Hi there,

I'm not in the habit of making retention offers public ;)

If you'd like to PM me your username that you use to access "My Account" though, I'll be happy to review your account and usage and I'll see what I can do for you.

The contents of PMs aren't being revealed here.

There should be no objection to making public the retention offers given out by the "official" retention department.

(And to suggest customers might do better if they approach the retentions department direct!)
  • Does anyone have a freephone/geographic number for MAAF... interested to see if the phone route beats the pm route... ;)

You can try 08000132302 and asking for the cancellation dept, otherwise, annoyingly you may have to bite the bullet and use 0844 3950830.

I know they're not Quentin. I was just saying that I wouldn't reveal any retention offers I make publically.

    Quite right!

Though from what we see there seems better deals can be negotiated by speaking on the phone instead of via this forum's pm system!

  • Two months after first registering with MAAF and I am still no closer to getting a broadband connection into my flat, despite forking out about £140.

I had a phone line installed by BT through madasafish over a month ago and was told that my broadband and 'Talk Free' accounts were being processed and would 'go live' withing 7-10 days. Awesome, or so I thought.

Four weeks later and I have nothing, my phone line is dead and when I plug a phone into the socket I get no dial tone and I cannot receive and make calls. When I try to ring my Talk Free number from my mobile I get a'phone is engaged' notice. Money has been taken from my account for both the Broadband and Talk Free, neither of which are working.

So in two months time and £140 out of pocket, I have received sweet FA from MAAF. I have sent several emails and have started tickets on their technical support site, from which I have received absolutely no help, all my tickets just get 'transfered to the relevant department' and are then pretty much ignored. I've tried phoning customer service several times from my mobile (each time costing shitloads) but all I get told is that there is a problem with processing my order and it should be fixed soon.

All I want to know is what is happening and when will I be able to actually use the services I am paying for.

MAAF are cowboys and thiefs and their customer services is non existant.
