Hi Froglet,
Glad to hear that it did the job and I'm sorry that you had to go through the inconvenience of reentering your passwords.
I'd be fairly confident that it won't happen again.“Official Company Representative

But why is it happening at all?
Others have experienced the same problem.0 -
James_PN,
That looks better, everybody will know who you are now.
I will await your response to the DD problem mentioned in my PMs.0 -
Sorry I didn't reply to you yesterday, I'd gone home for the day!
This is NOT a criticism of you personally, James_PN.
Samara was so respected here because she was an active member of the whole Board, and often was seen to log in from home (even known to do it when on leave).
That is why so many stayed loyal to MAAF despite any problems - we knew she never left things "hanging".
Truly a hard act to follow.
She did announce plusnet would take over from her from next month - has she handed over early?0 -
Hi Quentin,
You'll have to excuse me as this won't be the most technical of explanations as I'm no web designer or developer!
Basically My Account has to manage two sets of customers. Those which are still on the old Brightview administration system and those that have had their details moved across to our Workplace Administration system. This is managed using a combination of cookies and web server directives. The cookies are served
from different web servers depending upon whether or not the customer data has been moved across.
What has basically been happening in this case, is because IE7 doesn't handle this gracefully at all, it is trying to use the old cookie against the new web server, which makes things not look good.
You can technically remove the temporary internet file relating specifically
to the madasafish website, but using Internet Explorer, that's a bit of a nightmare.
Hope that explains things a little better.“Official Company Representative

Hi Quentin,
To be honest, I'm just as bad. I've worked on forums for PlusNet & Metronet for about 4 years and have been seen posting on forums well into the silly hours of the morning. Because that's mainly been on ThinkBroadband and our Community Site, you won't have seen much of me because I haven't really posted here before
Working in forums when on holiday is not a new experience for me
Regarding Samara's handover, she is leaving at the end of the week and I imagine she's been busy in a load of meetings to sort everything out before she goes.“Official Company Representative

Hi James,
I have been with Maaf for a long time and am not in contract. I have had more than my fair share of speed and connection problems during that time, and to be fair to Samara she did her best to sort out the problems but could only go so far..and as for the tech support ..well don't they just love the " can you do some speed tests over a period of time and post the results" speel....I eventually sorted out what was the problem on my own........
Anyway what I would like to know is what deal are you are going to offer me to stay with maaf when I move home in 6 weeks....??
A free laptop ...maybe??
unlimited downloads.......maybe?
Please feel free to offer me both if you like!!!:D
I look forward to your reply.....
P.s. I don't suppose Samara has sorted out the reason why my sister had downloads on her account while her p.c. was in for repair??( she is not on wireless by the way)...It was apparently going to be taken up to management level but she has not heard anything from them .....???0 -
Hi Reubo,
I'm more than happy to look into any speed concerns that you might have. This also might be an interesting read for you? It's something I wrote on a quiet bank holiday Monday about a year agoThe "Can you run Speed Tests" is more of a BT request that we have to relay onto our customers.

Please do send my your username via PM and I'll be happy to have a look into your Account and the speed problems that you've been having.
Regarding your sisters connection, I'm not entirely sure what "escalating to management" is going to achieve because in reality the answer to that question would be not a lot! I'm happy to look into that too“Official Company Representative

Hi guys.
Is there something i've missed here.
Just been having a flick around the Madasafish website and noticed the Max Broadband package is £9.99 for 6 months then £14.99 after.
I joined in June 2007 on the same Max Broadband package paying £11.99 for 6 months then £17.99 from December 07 until present.
Now it has gone down to the new rate of £14.99 per month, should I now be paying this new rate or is it just like Sky TV where new customers get all the benefits and long standing existing cutomers can basically sod off
Cheers TH770 -
Hi there,
It's basically the way that the product change has been done. We can offer the new pricing to existing customers (especially if they send me a PM!).
The new pricing would mean that you would need to agree to a new 12 month contract, but you would receive the pricing that you've quoted above.
Let me know and I'll be more than happy to sort it out for you.“Official Company Representative
