I have been trying to get cashback from Clubmoble for the last 4 months.

They have got my bill and approved my claim on 5 May and even claim to have paid me on the 14 August.

So far I have received nothing.

Is there anything that I can do apart from email them and get fobbed off yet again?
Treat everyday as your last one on earth! and one day you will be right.

The parent company Celltalk went into administration in June. You will need to contact Begbies Traynor, the administrators, regarding any possible cashback.

Full details can be found in Reestit Mutton's original post.

The thing with royal mail is that they say that recorded delivery "isn't guaranteed" and "isn't safe" which makes me glad that they will soon be wiped out by the competition :T

Special delivery is £4.95 isn't it?

I noticed one retailer had an automatic cashback thing but can't find it again... any ideas?? :D

I find it amazing how many of the cash back claims are lost in the post. Royal Mail simply don't lose that proportion of mail to one type of company and not others. Not many credit card applications get lost inthe post and they are never sent recorded or special delivery, however even recorded and special delivery items to cashback claims seem to be lost about 50% of the time. Or 100% where I am concerned. I have never had any other items lost in the post for more than a couple of weeks, strange how both my letters to themobs.com never arrived.

I don't believe it and I believe it is a convenient con by the phone companies.

Trading standards are getting intouch with them for me and i have issued a court order against them for £300. I was also advised to talk to Orange as they profit out of this scam.

I think it will come to £4.10 for special delivery. There is absolutely no way I would send my phone bills via any other method except special delivery. If they say they never received it and I have proof it has been delivered then they have not got a leg to stand on. Plus you have the added extra of £500 insurance. Some of these companies say that if you invalidate one cashback then you lose out on the rest so there is no point risking it. Ok,you may need to spend £20 or so but for some high value contracts where you are getting £300+ back it is well worth spending that little bit extra to cover your back!

Anyway thats just my take on things!

Phonebox Direct/Cool New Mobile offer auto cashback.

E2Save tried it for one or two "web specials" a while back but I haven't seen any auto cashback offers from them since then.

The amount of cashback on offer via the "auto" route is often less than 50% of teh equivalent of what's on offer via the cashback route...which may tell you something about the level of failure that they build in to their model.

themobs.com isn't on the poll of those who DON'T pay up and I've heard of loads of people from this site and from others. They have eventually paid 2 quaters but only after my Trading Standards wrote to them!! And now I'm chasing them for Feb's claim to no avail it seems.
Im having the same proplem with mob.com. Ive been chasing them for 4 months now.
    What do i do next???

I have 2 seperate cashback's running with this company. They have some cracking deals and I notice from this thread people are unaware of their track record....They have paid up the first 6 months on one of my phones but I am in dispute with them over the second. They claim that in their T&C's that I needed to supply the original invoice with any cashback claim. This is absolute rubbish and luckily I have kept a copy of the T&C's which states nothing of the kind.
They don't answer e-mails - have a permenant reply on all e-mails that says they are having technical problems replying to e-mails (For about the last 3 months) and they have re-curring excuses when you ring them up. The person who sends the refusal is faceless and never available and they play delay tactics on every request. I am still battling with this lot and even if I have to go to trading standards with their T&C's - I will. What I wont do is get any more cashback deals with them.... definitely one to avoid
A bargain is something you don't need at a price you can't resist.

Same problem here. Themobs.com are the biggest bunch of conmen it's ever been my misfortune to come accross (on a par with BSkyB). I wrote to them last weekend stating if I hadn't received my cashback by 27th Nov I would be seeing them in court, and I plan to log a claim via www.moneyclaim.gov.uk. It amazes me how these companies can be allowed to continue to rip people off again and again.

    Hello

I currently have a bad experience with buymobilephones.net.
I bought before at CPW and got my cash backs from E2SAVE with no problems, one time my claim was lost and still it was acceepted and pai.

but this people from bymobilephones.net is a different case.

I bough my mobile on a "12 month contract" and cash back offer of 9x free months
I sent my firsyt claim voucher with a copy of my airtime bills on time.
after a month not hearing from them (if it was something wrong they should have contacted me, but no) I was told my claim was rejected because T&C says original bills only. This cause to loose my entire claim for the remaining 2 left (someting more than £300)

I read the T&C and it only say send bills, nothing about Original Bills, however on th next paragraph relatred to 18 months contract it does say originals only.
I explain this to CS and they keep on arguing and rejecten my position, until I decided to ask them to either pay my claim or accept my original Bills to be sent.
finnally I received an email from CS telli me that if i send the Originals my claim will be honour.
Problem is that CS is accepting but now Cash BACk Dept. is ignoring my emails and even add on the subject the word "SPAM"

How can it be?? why are these people like this? perhaps they get pay a bonus for refusing claims.
I have call consumer direct, who told me I will be call by trading standars until today but nothing.

Not only this, but they also signed me to a insurance 93 momths free) which without my knowledge a direct debit was set up (not even a letter confirming about the DB.) and I paid already 2 x 5.99. I complaint and they keep on saying that I accepted this Online, ther is nothing mentioned on the BILL sent by this Company or the orde confirmation sent tomy email, How I am suppost toknow I accepted???

anybody having experience withthis Co. please help and/or guide me ow to proceed.
I found on thir WEb page they are listed in Safebuy and TrustUK, and perhaps I can complaint with them.
    thanks
