most of those companies are all the same.. Carphone Warehouse,e2save and onestophoneshop are all the same company
Which makes the differences in their performance appear very strange. Obviously each company has it's own ethos re. cashback, so they need to be listed seperately.

themobs.com isn't on the poll of those who DON'T pay up and I've heard of loads of people from this site and from others. They have eventually paid 2 quaters but only after my Trading Standards wrote to them!! And now I'm chasing them for Feb's claim to no avail it seems.

I have been trying to get money out of this lot since Feb and I have 2 phones so I am £600 down  They should not be allowed to trade they are a disgrace!

Having just lost cashback and been charged for the phone from phones2Udirect I would appreciate them going on the list!

Sorry JPR, but there are only 10 options allowed in a poll. The list reflected the most popular suppliers plus the "newest kids on the block". The newbies offered great deals but there was no feedback available about their reliability re cashback.
Any posts about other poor performers are always welcome!

I've missed out on £60 of cashback by mistakenly calculating 6 months as 7. Hence my claim was 31 days late and they only had a 30 day window for a claim (oops).

As my posting says here... http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=241320 ALWAYS use Special Delivery as you are then covered for us to £250 if the letter go 'missing' in the post. Recorded Delivery is rubbish and my postie never asks me to sign and even then you are covered for £32 only so unless your cashback is for £32 or less then it is a waste of money. It is worth the extra money you pay for Special if you are serious about getting your money. And yes, I have been 'done' before like this so beware, lost in the post is antother way these companies get out of paying. Lost in the bin more like it!! Special Delivery - while more expensive, is the ONLY way to send your documents - let's face it, you wouldn't send £100 cash through the mail would you? This way you can be sure it has got there in time and if you ever want to go to court you can prove that you have sent your paperwork in on time!

    This cashback is interesting.

This thread means that you can get full 1 year line rental free with free txts and calls:

but if you don't get your cash back it's a rip off. I'm not sure I trust O2 to give my money back.

What we really need is a 2 option poll:
    1) I recieved my cash back
    2) I didn't recieved my cash back (just once or more, any problems at all)
Order of events: Banks lose our money -> get bailed out -> were inflating GBP to cover it -> now taxing us -> next will grab your funds direct -> things get really desperate to balance the books. What should have happened?: banks go bust and we lost our money much quicker
  • i've dealt with a few companies, although some are part of the same organisation!

    cpw - pretty straighforward
e2save - excellent, even txtd me on cashback progression and quick
osps - did get my cashback but had to phone up a few times before it actually arrived
mobileoutlet - was slightly weary about them as they're not as big as the others but following the slightly laboured procedure (you need to send all bills etc) it came in exactly 28 days
  • Can you add simply3G to your list. I had a positive experiance with my cashback.
