The Mobile Outlet is one of the worst online retailers who will do everything to avoid paying cashback. Stay away from it!
  • Hi Kevinboi,
I wish I had read your thread last year. I received my first cashback no problem and have just had a refusal for the second as I didn't send the 2nd installment correctly. I read the T & Cs carefully but it made no sense at all to send in my 11th bill without the 12th bill and certainly without the claim form. They only supplied 2 of them so it made sense to send 11 and 12 together. Did you ever get enywhere with a complaint ?
    Regards,
    Amanda.

  • I think it is a total disgrace that I am expected to pay extra for special delivery to claim my chequeback. I have just lost out on 50 pounds from the Link because apparently my application was "lost" in the post. I don't believe this for a second. I should not have to apply to get my money anyway and the 30 day time limit is a joke. I have paid 30 pounds a month for the past year, therefore they owe me that money, end of story!

I would say stay well clear of these "deals"!

I certainly will be staying well clear. Should have had £540 (somewhere there) just before xmas and didnt get a penny. This was for 5 i think it was claims (ive lost count and fed up with it all). Dont go just sending special delivery though cos it will not cover you if it gets lost. I found that out after asking lots of questions after having 5 items go missing. You also need to pay extra on top for consequential loss cover.

When the poll was originally posted only 10 choices could be listed. Phones2UDirect weren't appearing in threads asking for advice - so only the most "talked about" suppliers were listed.
"Cheap", "Fast", "Right" -- pick two.

I agree! Sent in correct paperwork (photocopied it first) sent recorded. They say I didn't include the despatch note (despite me having a photocopy of it) so have denied the claim.
They won't speak on the phone but are useless by post and email. They claim that having a photocopy of what I claim was sent and the recorded delivery slip is not proof that I actually sent the right paperwork!?!?
Why on earth would I photocopy something then not send it????

I will never, EVER, shop with mobile outlet again.
