Congrats to Krystal amg hugs to AM and Feelie. If it helps, I'm only just getting to the point now where (most of the time) I don't want to give her away. Keep talking, you meds should start helping soon and it should start to get a little easier.Comping, freebieing and trying to pay the mortgage off early!0

My baby officially exists! He was registered today.
He also doesn't sleep much during the day, but as he sleeps for 10 hours or more at night, I can't complain!Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -
MFD I own up, I'm Sadie!
AM, I hope you understood what MFD was trying to say, I'm really angry at him for messing you around (not that that helps really)
Feelie, great news on the expressing front. What is prompting the thoughts of adoption? I don't know if it helps but I do know a few people who hated their baby days but really loved it when baby became a person, does it help to know that Toby will become a person and it won't be like this forever?
ETA wow 10 hours! I thought I'd had a breakthrough when El slept 5 hours the other night!MFW Start Sep 07 £79484, Now £587740 -
feelie i think most people have thoughts like that, megs 8 and i am at breaking point with her, even asked my sis to take her! and congrats on Toby being a 'real' person lol!!
AM i had the same thing when baby was born, i think that they hate not being the center of attention and a new baby taking up all your time. you can do it as your a great mum, take care xxWhat's for you won't go past you0 -
He does wake up once in the 10 hours and has a quick feed. He settles himself while I express again, he is only awake for 20 minutes!
I love hm very much, just some days I really feel like I'm doing an awful job. I worry about how I'll cope when he is older, and feel he'd be better off with a normal, non-crazy Mummy. I don't want my crazy to rub off on him.Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -

Believe me, we ALL feel like that at some point or other. I have been in floods of tears because I was convinced that Benjamin deserved a better mum and I consider myself to be coping really well most of the time (if a little hormonal!!).
And once he is older he will be something to ground you and to make you strong - children are ace! Fair enough my only experience of having children is having DSS at weekends for the past 3 1/2 years but if raising your own makes you half as proud I can't wait!
I don't want my @nal attitude to rub off on Benjamin - I think I am borderline OCD about some things - but we will work on that when we get there!
MM - sorry! I knew you were either Sadie or Trudyhow awful am I!!

Well Kai is feeding no better, took him to get weighed today and he has put on a whole 1oz in over two weeks!!!! Health visitor has asked me to take him docs by end of week if no improvement by fri. Also my nan is in hospital and we are just waiting for the inevitable they are surprised she made it through the night.

Feely - the day I don't question myself and my ability to be Roo's mum is the day I will truely think something is wrong
when I left the maternity ward I honestly kept expecting them to turn around any second and say "excuse me... you actually think we would let YOU take a baby home? ehhh not a chance!" - and I still wonder why they thought I'd be a good mummy and responcible enough to look after this little bundle of joy. Crazy don't rub off btw
AM - I'm sorry to hear your OH is being a twerp - as mentioned could it be PND? Guys can definitely get this tooOr could it just be plain sleep deprivation? I know I snapped at DH today which is so not like me so goodness knows what either of us will be like in a months time with little/no sleep
I want to see the best in him for you as I don't think I could face being on my own with Roo, let alone 2 children, right now - but you have managed this far in large on your own some times so be strong - you know you can do it if you need and you can always come on here and moan or just share your thoughts.

Sorry for having a little moan but I have never know such a young baby to be able to stay awake for such long periods since birth...

Our Fisherprice cradle swing kept me sane in the first couple of months - DS obviously hadn't read the guidelines about how much newborns sleep. I'm not going to admit how often he went in it whilst I lay on the sofa with a blanket dozing beside him...:o
However, he now sleeps really really wellThe IVF worked;DS born 2006.0
