  • Mel - is he himself otherwise? Have you tried a different type of formula or even a different bottle?

    Hope he is okay.

 Grrr . Just wrote a really long post and the internet shut itself down, so here we go again...

Hugs to all who need them - AM/Feelie/Mel

Feelie - my grandad was bi-polar (both his parents had mental health probs) and my uncle takes meds. I only found out when I was pregnant with Imogen as I had to ask mum about family history. And it's only recently she's told me some stories about his behaviour when she was growing up. However, she bears absolutely no resentment about his condition and certainly wouldn't have chosen to be brought up by anyone else.

As with many things (I'd class my experience of being from a 'broken home' similarly) people establish their own norms, their own reality, their own idea of what's acceptable. And plenty of people with mental health problems do a damn fine job of bringing up a family.

It's not much talked about (still a stigma in my family I'm afraid) but I'm sharing this in the hope that you'll see that there is no reason why you won't do an amazing job of bringing up Toby, whatever your state of mind.
No one could do a better job for Toby than you are right now, esp with all the expressing you're doing. I certainly couldn't have stuck it this long.

    Congrats Krystal, she's gorgeous!

Sami - I'm getting Imogen one of these

While you're all being nosey (and I'm logged in to FB), here's a pic of me so you have a mental image http://www.facebook.com/photos.php?id=644831509#/photo.php?pid=729974&id=644831509 (OK, I cheated a bit. This is a post-makeover shot from the magazine shoot I did. I can't help that I'm 8 months pregnant and look like a blimp on all the recent ones!)

And finally, this is a bit of a test, but here's a link to a video of Imogen dancing. And Darcy Bustle she is not! http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#/video/video.php?v=84727221509

Let me know if it plays!

AM - forgot to say. If it's lack of sleep getting to him then perhaps you could sleep separately for a while. I don't mean it in a bad way. Me and DH shared a bed for about 1 night a week for 4 weeks before Imogen settled down cos he needed to get up for work. It was just easier for me and LO not to be disturbed by him getting up and for him not to be disturbed by her feeds. Things always look better after a good night's sleep - or a few of them.

Feelie - any decisions for you on that front? You seem brighter

  • Lu - I can't see the photo or vid cos I am not your friend

Caz - have you tried a glass of wine ;)

Benjamin is unsettled and keeps stirring, I think it is because his dad has gone out so he is not convinced it is night time.

Keep meaning to say that Tesco are doing some lovely summer sleeping bags at the moment - they are about £5 or £6 :money:

Big, slightly dodgy hugs to everyone who has not too good things going on in their lives at the moment! :grouphug:

Not fair, I can't see the Facebook pics as I'm not registered on fb - advised not to through work as our council has had to suspend some staf members over things that has been said on there. Plus some of the teachers I work with keep getting friends requests from parents and our Head has expressly said they must not accept them - I wouldn't like that. I think our Head would rather no-one on our staff was on there as she brings it up EVERY single week in the staff meetings - don't think she knows about MSE though ;)

LOL - whilst I want to recommend MSE to everybody I do worry that people I know will find me and read all the random carp I waffle on about!! Not that I really say anything I wouldn't want friends to read...but this is like my refuge from the world and an invaluable support network. I don't want my real life friends and family intruding :rotfl:

Hubby is out, baby is asleep, why am I sat on the computer feeling lonely when I spend the rest of the time hankering after some 'me' time!!

I can't help recommending MSE to everyone then afterwards I think, ooh I hope they don't read any of my posts!

Everyone in my house is in bed. I love this time each night, although OH thinks I should go to bed earlier and get some sleep, especially when Tom still doesn't sleep all night. He can' understand why I need my own quiet time each day!

It is quite sad but I find myself thinking and doing the same thing :rotfl:

I treated myself today using some of my boots points, I bought one of those neutrogena face buffers that I'd seen advertised and used it earlier and it really is true I felt the results after one use, I don't normally fall for those gimicks but for once it's true it really does work.:o My face feels like a babies bum:rotfl:
