  • Hiya Sparkle,

Some babies just need more contact than others I guess. Don't feel guilty if you need to put her down, even if she is whinging about it, you have to do what you have to do...

...but at the same time, stuff the housework and make the most of the cuddles, it won't be long before she becomes interested in other stuff.

Try getting her to focus on some black and white patterns (just draw some thick lines on white paper) - it may keep her amused for 5 minutes.

  • Not sure if anyone is the same as me but I like seeing a photo of the person so I can put a face to a name, Krystal is nothing like I imagined her:rotfl:

I still struggle with putting the real life names to the MSE names so pictures have got me really stumped!!

Own up Sadie and Trudy - I am sure I get the 2 of you confused on here and FB!!

    Thanks MFD,
I love the fact that I can interact with her all the time - when Josh was a baby I almost felt like waking him just so I could have a cuddle hehe. I guess this week is making me feel bad as it is half term and Joshua is off school, Im trying to split my time and feel as if he feels he is being left out...But then its probably just me and I bet he hasnt even noticed as he loves helping out with Lexi and giving her cuddles! :o
Im such a twit sometimes, just feeling a tad hormonal and mad at myself as I thought I was over that!!!

My midwife used to be able to tell me if she would be morning or afternoon as she usually had half a day of clinics and then half a day of visits but the weekend people I didn't know when they would come. Part of the reason they can't be that accurate is that things can be unpredictable so they don't know how long each visit will be and also they may change the order they visit if someone needs to be seen sooner. When we had problems with feeding overnight she came first thing in the morning and stayed for about half an hour even though she had clinics in the morning so hadn't been due to visit till the afternoon.
I can certainly understand that things in their world are very unpredictable and they can't say accurately when they'll be wherever, but all I'm saying is they carry mobile phones, and it would take 30 seconds to call somebody, even if they're on their way to them, especially a new mum at 8am to say they're coming now!

Nearly 2 years later it still bugs me she turned up before I had a shower :o:rotfl:

Woohoo, exploding baby (complete with hilarious grunting sounds!) mission completed. Must keep giving her pleanty of water and make sure it doesn't happen again!

I've found a website that does matching baby and daddy sized
    tshirts
you can get printed with your own slogan, so now i'm trying to think of a slogan. (DH's birthday is coming up!). I also found pirate baby clothes, but I'm being self controlled)
This reminds me, anyone seen a nice "I'm the big brother" t-shirt? I think it was 3onitsway that got one for her brood when Violet was due?
I've got bump an all in one from next that says I'm the little brother so want to get them cuteness in matching form :o
Also I soo don't blame Izzy for chucking up avocado - bleugh! :rotfl:

I went to boobie group today everyone was nice and fell in love with Chris :D we had free juice and fruit so he was happy and he 'looked after' some of the babies, one lost a sock and he spent about 2 mins trying to catch her wriggly foot to put it back on - bless :A

Congratulations Krystal - and I thought Izzy was big!

Sparkle - I don't know what the weather is like with you, but could the three of you have a walk to the park? Izzy always goes off to sleep in her buggy. I'm having the same problem here (she's been asleep for about 20 mins all day!!! But she is quite happy playing under her baby gym for the moment (she has almost turned herself round 180 degrees since I put her down though ... no wonder she has slowed down on the weight gain - no stop wiggling!). I really need to put the lap top down and get on with tidying aruond her while she is in a good mood :)

Hey Feelie, How are you doing?

Been having a few bad days. 'Bad thoughts' have returned, was discussing adoption with OH yesterday. My Mum jokingly mentioned how she'd take the baby to be registered, but she might pretend he was hers and steal him. Part of me wanted to suggest that she really take him off me :o

Still spending most of my life attached to a pump, but it is working. Supply has increased from 600 to 800ml, and been getting near 900 a few days. Have 5 full feeds in the fridge, and 6 frozen feeds. Will be happy when I hit 1000ml every day, then I'll be able to cut down to 6 expressings a day.
    Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.
