  • Morning all...just made it here in the AM!!

Benjamin slept for 8 hours again last night :T clever boy! He fell asleep on his own on the sofa at 9.15 last night so we left him, I put him in his sleeping bag about 11pm and carried him upstairs. He opened his eyes and gave me a big smile when I put him down but I just 'ignored' him and walked out of his eyeline...30 seconds later he was fast asleep :D

He woke at 5.30am, fed for 20 mins and went bact down til 9am :T

If he can carry on like this I will be very happy!!

Got a pregnant work colleague coming to visit today so must do a tidy round- god how my standards have slipped!!

AM- what a big boy you have!!

AM - If you want a 'posh' outfit BHS do wedding suits from pretty small, Chris had jacket and trousers from there for our wedding that were 9-12mths and I remember there being smaller ones plus matching ones for right up to adult.
He also had a shirt n tie from H&M but I think they only have them in at Christmas but he's had shirt n tie from Next too (god sounds like he's always going out in a full suit now :p)

Tine have you tried a cold compress on your bits? they make special ones for the purpose but I'm sure sitting on a bag of peas would be fine :) and I think arnica is ok to use on the area too. x

I'm confident that Krystal is in hosp coz she's always on FB/here even in the bath and bed with the help of her ipod ;)

Sami I'm sure Krystal is in hospital too - it's been way too long for her to be away without popping on! :)
If she ends up stuck in there though then patient line is terrible and it's a real feat of stamina to actually get logged in to anything and post on MSE - that's if she's up to it :D
The house is gradually starting to look like a slum but I'm too tired and busy to tidy and DH is doing the most important stuff as well as fetching and carrying for me AND he's not been feeling too well last couple of days to boot. He has acid reflux sometimes and it seems the long stretch of sleepless nights, the stress of seeing me give birth and everything else has really upset his tummy - he's not moaned about it but I can tell from his face that it's very uncomfy at the moment bless him...
At least my mum will be here on friday (even if it's very late) to help us - she's decided she's the self appointed cleaner and cook for the week to give us a break bless her!
Just trying to decide on whether to go to town for some bits or not... decisions decisions... :) It's that or a snooze...

i had a sleepy one too last night :D slept from 10pm til 8am, stirred a couple of times but the good old dummy sent him straight off again :D so why am so darn tired?!

i seem to have a very whingey baby at the moment :wall: he seems to be getting overtired if he is awake for more than 5-10 mins after each feed and nappy change!

Can't remember who was asking about hungry baby milk but our HV actually recommended putting Imogen on it. She was about 10 weeks old (can't be exact, can barely remember my own name right now) and by the time we weaned her would take 9oz at a time for 5 or even 6 feeds a day!

She's come home from nursery today with a bite on her arm :-( She seems okay about it and nursery say it hasn't happened before and I do trust them, but it's still a bit strange. She has proper teeth marks and its bright red, even 2 hours after it happened.

She's been dry at night for the last two weeks other than 2 little accidents, clever girl. She seems so grown up all of a sudden.

Mrs Tine - have you tried feeding rugby-ball style (with babe tucked under your arm instead of laid across your belly)? You might be able to trick her into thinking that your left boob is your right if you position her like this. At least it would even up the feeding a bit?

Ooooh, hope there's news from Krystal soon!

    Me again. Advice please.

Has anyone used a sleep clock for toddlers/older children to encourage them to stay in bed? I'm looking at this one http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Kidsleep-Alarm-Clock-COW-SLEEP-AID-NIGHT-LIGHT_W0QQitemZ250430729956QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Clocks?hash=item3a4ed5aee4&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1686%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318%7C301%3A0%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50 which seems v v v expensive, but if it keeps her in her room for longer then it will probably be worth it! I know there are cheaper 'bunny' ones but I just don't like them as much.

Also, has anyone bought a blackout blind from an online company which fits close up to the top of the window? Can you recommend anywhere that does them? We're had some fab blinds from a local company but the fittings mean there's at least an inch of window showing at the top, which means any blackout effect would be cancelled out. Imogen's waking more and more in the mornings and we're knackered! I'd like to get it sorted before new baby arrives so we at least only have one wakeful child to deal with.

    All opinions/advice gratefully rec'd.

Lu T I bought the black out blinds from tesco.com - they were on offer at the time but I think they still do them...

  • Quick question - if the middle of the teat goes inwards when Benjamin is eating (tomme tippee ctn bottles) does it mean that he needs a bigger hole?
