LuT Not sure what style of windows you have and also if you would be willing to screw into the frame of your window and also if you have a creative DIYer inthe house/family that could adapt a normal blackout roller blind and fit it to the frame of the window.
I hope you can make sense of that post

Or another thought you could look at velux style as they are attached to the windows!!! Might be able to adapt something like that, maybe a bit expensive though

We got our blind from Blinds 2 Go. It is custom made and the blind is flush with the top of the window - we had to screw into the plastic frame though, so that might not be any good if you are renting? We still have a little bit of a gap down the sides, but with curtains there isn't too much light coming through. If we had blackout backing on the curtains too, then it would be none at all, but I will worry about that as and when it seems to be necessary! (Blinds were about £30)

Has anyone had any experience of Bowen technique

I've had Bowen on my stupid back, it was absolutely brilliant! In fact when Herself lets me leave her for more than 30 seconds at a time I'll be going back! The lady who does my Bowen also did a free session on Celia, once isn't enough to really get a big difference but if we'd kept going with her I'm sure it would have helped, the lotion she gave us was enough to get us through though (we'd have to drive her there and cars and Celia do not get on in the slightest!) :-)

Whereabouts do you live? If it's nearish me I can recommend my lady to you if you want to try it with your lo :-)

Thanks, we live in South Wales. Was it for colic with Celia?

Thanks Scruffy. I've been looking at the Velux-type ones but they are pretty expensive (£70-ish). We don't rent, but I don't really want to screw into the frames. We could put it flush to the sides of the window and touching the frame as, being UPVC, they have a thick frame. That might just work. I'm tempted to the Tesco ones at £15-ish though. V MSE!

My fab Jojo silk maternity dress and top haven't sold on ebay, sob! Can't believe no one wants them :-(

There is no 'supposed' about the timing. Usually you start again sooner if your bottle feeding than if you're breastfeeding. But either way you CAN get pregnant again very quickly!

AM - last time I had only stopped bleeding about 3 days then started again for about 4/5 days, I thought it was normal bleeding but when I saw GP she said that it was a period.
I saw GP at 7wks so it was at some point before then :)

Lu - we have velux windows in the attic and we got velux style blinds from tesco direct much cheaper than usual velux blinds but more than the £15 mentioned earlier.

I am taking Kai to get weighed tomorrow as he is not drinking his bottles at all...he takes 5/6oz on his first feed, then every feed after that, whether I leave it 3hrs or 5hrs, I struggle to get him to drink 3oz...it has been going on for nearly two weeks now and is starting to drive me mad!!! This means that some days he is only having 16/18oz in a whole day.

    hi mel

i have been having this problem with my little girl. i took her to be weighed today and she is now 11.4lbs and was 9 weeks on saturday. she has put on weight since i last got her weighed at the start of the month. i am going to get her weighed weekly or fortnightly now to make sure she is putting on weight steadily. i have her on the hungry baby formula from aptimal (apart from an extremely small amount of breast milk when i can get it).
