hello ladies hope your all well! meg went back to school today! but erin is sounding croaky so think she may have it:( agree with the pampers size 3 they dont smell and they last erin all night! the smaller ones made her clothes feel damp??

Havent even thought about weaning erin yet and she is 14 weeks on wed, she seems happy enough being BF and sleeps 10-7 so cant complain and she must be getting enough. only prob i have is in the morning my boobs are so full that she starts choaking and then screams like im trying to kill her lol!

thanks weezl and fritha, i've googled it and had a look in baby forums and cant find any reason as to why a baby shouldnt have hungry baby milk, and i'm wondering why they would be able to sell it as 0+ months if theres any reason they shouldnt have it too

MFD - i put seth in size 3 pampers weeks ago cos they were £10 for a box of 156 in asda in the baby event ;) they fit 9lb-20lb and they seemed to fit a lot better straight away, they say if LO is in the higher size range the next size up fits better, plus they're baby dry so they smell a bit better and keep him dryer at night :)

ladybird - izzy is better than i am at food, i hate beetroot with a absolute passion!!
Not sure how old Seth was when HV said about hungry milk but it may have been that she just felt it was too early, Some Mum's use hungry baby milk to make LO sleep through before they are ready but if Seth is waking for milk so often (and u are sure its for milk) then I would think HV would say it is ok to use it now :)

Sami, thanks that's really sweet! Um, ganged up on eh? Just you try it! :p;):D(actually don't I'm still a bit hormonal!). Is OH using the bank holiday to make some headway on project bedroom? :) Please continue to send our love to
Elle. I read up on vasa previa since reading her story. ...
OH has been fantastic this weekend! Chris was packed off to Grandma's and the house has 'stuff' everywhere but the good news is after spending a lot of time holed up in there Hubby has patched the plaster, lining papered, painted ceiling & woodwork, wall papered and put down the floor! :D
All we need to do now is clean the window (me) and put the blind up (OH) then move in there :T (with a hell of a lot of ruthless throwing away of my hoarded crap :p) oh and the small matter of managing to buy a new bed that can be delivered ASAP :undecided

Sami - jealous as I am, that ship would fill my garden!!
We can't actually fit it in our garden (I think anyway :rotfl:) that pic was at MIL's thankfully both sets of Grandparents have nice big gardens ;) I think we need to invest in an electric pump this year tho, took 'us' (by us I mean OH, BIL and FIL) about 40 mins to pump it up with a hand pump!

he was only a few days old then, it might have been a midwife actually, those early days all blur into one!! i know whatever she was gave me a stern and unimpressed speech cos i'd got OH to give him formula at night once so i could sleep for longer than a hour and it wasnt SMA it was cow and gate. one whole bottle! a crime!! :rotfl: i will see what she thinks about it. and then probably do the opposite ;)

i found the midwives a lot nicer than the HV. i miss the midwives. luckily my favourite was not only the one that delivered seth but was one of our community midwives so she came round a couple of times, it felt like a social call rather than a grilling on how good your parenting skills were shaping up, a lot nicer in those early days!
my HV sits in a corner behind a desk looking snooty while a nurse weighs the babies and then says in hushed tones "would you like to speak with the Health Visitor?" as if you will be speaking to a god and you should feel priveliged!

I had a midwife who was really funny with me about having given Alice some formula. On the third night we'd given Alice a bottle of EBM/cow and gate and then another bottle of cow and gate because I was just so sore I couldn't face feeding. My midwife who came the next day was fine about it. She was really helpful with breastfeeding and she said that we'd done the right thing. The next night we gave her one bottle of cow and gate and the midwife who came the next day who wasn't my usual one was really funny about it. She pretty much made out that it cancelled out all the benefits of breastfeeding and that it would dry up all my milk.

Weezl I haven't seen that thing on the Nice guidelines - I'll have to have a look when I've got sorted out.

We managed to move seven car/van loads on Saturday (OH has a van and a friend has a people carrier with removable seats). Today OH took down all the bookcases and the TV cabinet and took them over and put them up so I could unpack everything onto them. We also took our bed down and just have the mattress on the floor so that we can have the bed set up ready for when we actually move on Saturday. I'm currently meant to be packing more stuff in the boxes I unpacked today but am taking a little break. OH is at the new house putting up curtain rails and loading his van back up. (It's normally full of all his gardening stuff so he emptied into the kitchen on Friday evening.)

    Hi all!
Gosh my first post on this 'new' thread lol
    Hope everyone is ok.
I've not really ben online much, not because bubs is demanding, infact he is the least demanding baby i've ever come accross, just cos I'm always busy doing other things.
He's growing nicely, weighed in at 11lb 10oz last week (5 weeks old) he's on 4-5oz every 4 hours, and goes 5 hours at night, and only takes about 3oz at his 3am feed.
He's soooooo long! he is nearly as 'tall' as my neighbours baby who is about 8 weeks older than him :rotfl:

It's Aston's birthday in 3 weeks time and I've not organised anything, he wants a Ben 10 party bless him, and I'm gonna buy him a bike, but Jesus they are expensive!!

On the subject of hungry baby milk, I was told it shouldnt be given till at least 6 weeks but not sure why, I cant see my bairn needing it, although I did buy some when our local somerfield was shutting down to make way for a morrisons(:j) as it was reduced to £3 a tin, but I dont think we are going to need it, my friends daughter is on hungry baby milk and has been since about 3 weeks old.

Also, I have my neices christening in 3 weeks (the day of Astons birthday) and need to get the boys something to wear, does anyone know of any shops that sell the same outfits for ages 0-3 months and 4-5 year olds??????

Well we've had a slightly better night - I went up at about 10 for a little head start and left Roo snoozing with her daddy downstairs. They both came up at about 12 - Roo still snoozing - and whilst getting tucked into bed she woke enough to want a feed. Think we were all settled at about 12:30 and she didn't wake till about 3! YAY! She was then a little fidgety again and eventually I got up and changed her eventhough she was dry and then tried to feed her again - she's still not keen on the left side for some reason but the right side is doing well... Then she managed to sleep till about 6 and she's been napping and having little feeds since...
Think my milk is coming in as my left boob is starting to bulge out lol

And on the downside I think I need to go see the MW/doc today... my perineum is REALLY sore today so might be a plan to have it looked at... have taken my paracetamols and anti inflamatories but so far no difference... bah humbug...

She's not been on here since 1.12 pm yesterday., and not been on facebook since 8am yesterday! (Me, a stalker - NO! :D)

Fingers crossed she'll have her new baby by now.

Congrats Mrs Tine - Roo is beautiful, and I love her real name (but Roo is still cute).

AM Next sometimes have the same outfits in baby and bigger sizes. I got Violet and Liv (8) matching t-shirts from there.
And, have you got a little local bike shop? DD had a new bike not long back, she was looking at £170 ones in Halfords/JJB - so I took her to the little bike shop near here - and she picked one for £60 :T.
