LOL I went five years without a washing machine until LO came along and then I had to figure out a way to fit one in our tiny kitchen.
However I do live very near a launderette and had worked out that using the launderette once a week cost approximately the same as having our own machine so it was easier in a way as you can gets LOTS in a launderette machine and I only had to do washing once a fortnight!!!:T(now have to do at LEAST one load a day to keep up ).feelinggood wrote: »Milk - we've gone a full week without bottles. Any idea how much is a good amount to have in the freezer? I'll only be giving the very occassional bottle. I've got 4000ml in the freezer and pump 50 to 100ml a day. Does that seem alright? I like to pump a little to ensure my supply stays up, and so I'm ahead of ds to make growth spurts easier. Does that sound alright or should I pump more?
Feelie if you are religious about labeling (so you know when it will go off) you could always use the leftover booby milk in food (weetabix etc) when LO is weaned. Then you won't need to buy formula if you aren't too keen on giving cows milk (not sure when that was ok from as we used formula in food until 9mths).feelinggood wrote: »Anyone know when babies start to become more attatched to one person? About 4-5 mths Archie started to show more attachment to me and is only just now growing out of it at 19mths unfortunately its just the way some babies are, although if your lot are anything like mine it'll be YOUR fault for "breastfeeding too much" "mollycoddling him" ....blah de blah...never mind that you've become DESPERATE for a chance to go to the loo on your ownand certainly don't encourage it.
hope everyone had a good weekend - oh fixed up (well it begins with f anyway) my computer over the weekend so now I've lost all my favourites saved over the last year.....Well at least the connection is a bit faster so guess should be grateful.

Anyway - went to booby cafe today and chatted to a few other mums - including a tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiny little 6lb baby! She's soooo small and she's 3 weeks old! - makes Alexandra look like a right porker!
We're going to go to the childrens centre tomorrow to get weighed and see how we're getting on but I think she's put a fair bit on - certainly feels like she has!
Busy weekend - spent loads of time travelling and visiting people - Roo was pretty good although last night she made up for it - let me know in no uncertain terms that she was not letting me have an easy ride - we've pretty much been up since 3am this morning...
She's just had a feed and is contemplating a snooze I think so I'm off to bed with her to try and catch up on some sleep!DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

Well, it has now been a full week of breastfeeding!
Have the midwives mentioned about breastfeeding getting easier when he reaches his due date?
According to the scan, Toby was 39+3, but we are pretty sure he was an early baby. He had undescended testes, clampdown bite reflex, fur all over him, smaller than expected and makes typical preemie sleep noises. All things common in early babies, but not in fullterm ones. We just have the 11+5 scan to go off, with no date of last menstrual period, or date of conception. It was the midwife who originally asked if I'd got my dates wrong.
And also you had loads of scans surely that would of shown up different dates?
Sayijg that i have no idea how accurate scans are, both my boys were early by my EDD and were very good weights, I had no LMP at all with DS2.:j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j0 -

He was 7lb 7oz, which is small for babies in my family. I was expecting a 10lb'er really, was suprised at how small he was.
The first scan said I was 11+5, and they stuck with that the whole way through, despite various lengths/measurements. They always asked what my initial EDD was, but didn't change it when he was too long/too short etc.
It might have been right, just seems so many co-incidences!Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0
