Grandads - Mine wouldn't hold Toby, he was too little! My brother grabbed him off me the moment he was through the door.
Milk - we've gone a full week without bottles. Any idea how much is a good amount to have in the freezer? I'll only be giving the very occassional bottle. I've got 4000ml in the freezer and pump 50 to 100ml a day. Does that seem alright? I like to pump a little to ensure my supply stays up, and so I'm ahead of ds to make growth spurts easier. Does that sound alright or should I pump more?
Feelie - I would panic if I had less than 2 feeds in the freezer unless I was planning a night away then I would build up more. Hi all - hope you all had good weekends. I don't think I will get round to catching up!
We had a lovely weekend visiting my Granny - went up with my parents and left DH at home to [STRIKE]play computer games and go to the pub[/STRIKE] do some diy. Izzy got very spoilt - it was great for her to spend so much time with my Dad, as we see my Mum loads but normally during the week when he is working. And of course my Granny was thrilled to bits to see Izzy again (but told me off whenever I bounced her on my knee/turned her upside down :rotfl:)
Sleeping didn't go as well as when we went up before. Last time I put her down on Granny's bed at the same time she would normally go to bed, and was able to pick her up, put her in the car, go round to the b&b, and take her upstairs to her cot without her really noticing. This time she went to sleep fine, but when we went round to b&b she woke up. Friday night she was then awake every 2 hours, and so I gave up at 4:30 and put her in bed with me. Then she woke me up frequently by hitting me in the face, but at least I got some sleep!
Saturday we went round to the b&b about half 9 and she wouldn't go to sleep until 12:30 - not sure if it was the teething powders I gave her, or that I had given up and snuggled up together in the big bed again? Either way she woke up once for a feed, then I couldn't get her back to sleep as she was so windy. I put her face down over my knee and she fell asleep like that, so I slid her across and she slept on her front. Then woke up screaming at 6am with a big fart. But hoorah for grandparents - they took her out for a walk, and I went back to bed at 6:45 and got another 2 hours sleep! :T:T
Aside from sleep troubles, we had lots of fun playing, shopping, and there were oatcakes, Indian takeaway and cakeIsabella Molly born 14th January 2009

Hello mummies!
This is a request for advice from Sami, Weezl and any other home birthers.
I have no idea what waterproofing to get. I was thinking about getting those incontinence sheets but are they absorbent enough? I'm worried that tarp/shower curtains with sheets/towels over will be slippery as I move around.
What did you all use? I'm going to do it on the living room floor/sofa/hall so will need to cover quite a large area!
Thanks.

I have about 800ml in the freezer but only because we're going away for the day in a couple of weeks... I used to have a couple of bottles saved for Aimee but I found a couple of times my milk had curdled when it defrosted and she wouldn't drink it like that (it's fine, it doesn't hurt them but the flavour changes) but seeing as I very rarely left her with anyone I just gave up expressing in the end...
When our washing machine broke I was so lazy I just gave all our dirty stuff to my Mum, she washed it, dried it, folded it and bought it back... If it hadn't stunk so bad of cigarette smoke I might not of been so quick buying the new washerA very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

becles charlotte is so funny :rotfl: I love the 'done a poo' quote...
I didn't know if I should post this or not, but it's another poo story!
She came into the bathroom last week and saw me removing a used sanitary pad. She just looked at me really said and said "awwww no. Mam's done a poo in knickers." I said it was ok and she left the bathroom with a tut and a sigh and I could hear her muttering "what a naughty Mammy. No sweets for Mam today" :rotfl:
I'm impressed with the handwashing. When our washer broke, I'm another one who sent stuff to my Mam's house and got it all back washed and ironedHere I go again on my own....0
