I'm sitting here in my bra and pyjama bottoms, it's all I've worn all day... I had a naan bread and some dime cake for my lunch... The top I've decided to wear has just spent 20mins decreasing in the tumble drier but has not been ironed, but the way my day is going I'll probably be walking to the school in my bra nad pyjama bottoms so it won't matter anyway...

still... At least tea is on the hob... Although could be burnt to the bottom of the pan for all I know, Caitlyn is just pinning me to the sofa at the minute... She's kind of asleep... But as soon as I think about getting up she opens her eyes and gives me a warning...

sami, how do you go about asking for these things on script? i asked if i could get infacol or something similar and my doctor said "its cheap enough dont worry about it!!"
i've also had to buy 2 packs of ruddy infant gaviscon this week at £4.12 a pop cos my docs arent on the ball with repeat scripts and the chemist woman didnt want to know about the minor ailment scheme?!
My wonderful MW :A Is it wrong that I don't want to stop seeing her?
She came to do Edgar's heel pwick test yesterday in the morning but he only filled 3 of the 4 spots and she had used her last stabber thing so had to come back later so she even offered to pick it up for me!

CG/PP thank you! :D I've bookmarked a web page of it so I never forget now ;) I hope one of my local chemists has it in!

Very busy today. Off to pub with OHs friends tonight, first time they've met the baby.

Went to pick up pump last night, only she wasn't in! It was all arranged, I got there on time. Knocked and rang doorbell, no answer. Rang mobile, no answer. Left a message, still no reply.

Ended up paying extra £40 to order it online, which is annoying. Still, it'll be here tomorrow, so hopefully it'll make a difference. Anything to make expressing easier.

Toby was due a feed, but while I was changing him he seemed to be having fun on the mat, so I've left him down there. 25 minutes he has been led there kicking his legs and cooing and shouting. He is in a good mood today! Almost slept through again, 7 hours!

Well after a 45 minute wait at the doctors (yes.. 45!!! Not amused!) Snuffles the baby officially has... the snuffles :) her chest is clear and other than a slight cough and the snuffles (official doctor term) she's "the picture of a healthy baby" - Yay me!
Because it's only the snuffles he'd rather we didn't give her anything so as she's easier to feed by bottle when she's struggling to breathe he said give it another day or two on that with EBM and only giving her a boob to either settle her down or at night - just to keep her practised :)
Came home via town centre so have stocked up on maternity pads, milk bags, kamillosan and breast pads...
Got home and madam was super grouchy again - 5+ fl oz later and she's finally chilled out propped up on a pillow next to dad watching him play GOW2 on the 360... alledgedly working from home. Not that I mind as he had a call from someone at 7:45 this morning - somewhat taking the mickey I feel...

Down side is I have another blocked duct - this time the other boob, really hurts but at least I know how to deal with them :) (apply warm compress, have hot showers and hot baths and then massage gentle whenever I can but especially when either feeding or expressing...)

Had our first slight falling out over Roo last night - nothing serious but he nearly watched his 360 fly through the nearest window... I was cranky and tired as Roo had been cranky all day, then I am sat expressing on one sofa, him on the other with the baby trying to feed her whilst playing on the 360 - now he can't multi task at the best of times and was paying more attention to his game than his daughter - so I did what for me is a "flip out"... I stopped expressing, sorted my boob out and grabbed Roo from him and fed her myself on the other sofa with a withering glance to him. Then when he finally cottoned on that I was seriously angry and asked if he should turn it off I told him he could do what he liked for all I cared "oh when you say it like that I can't can I?" - "Well you can - I'm already p!ssed off with you so you might as well carry on now I'm feeding her" (for me this is pretty serious talk - we never argue and rarely snap at each other - guess we both do it so much at work for a living that we like being reasonable adults at home lol) - cue demure hubby for the rest of the evening, never moaned about changing her, or burping her or doing bits and pieces - heck he even offered to mow the lawn for me today :) Voluntarily!
He does know when he's seriously upset me and putting his 360 game before his daughters needs last night was just one step too far...
Anyway - my daughter is screaming again so think I'll go see if she's in the mood for a snooze with mummy upstairs :)

emlou good on ya for going, I think unless you are a really confident person everyone feels a bit nervous about going and meeting people they don't know.

Oh dear CG hope he is ok now and settled.

Ok then Weezl I have a question for you that is why I asked you the previous question??
I had obstetric cholestasis with El, if I wanted/planned a second one would I need the same hospital visits to keep and eye or would they ask me to look out for the symptoms?? There is plenty info out there on the condition but I can't find anything about having a second baby, watch this one search and you'll find info!!!!

Caz If I could get to you I'd give you a hug but I'll give you here instead (((((((scottish hugs))))))) I also agree with Emlou could the 2 of you have some alone time.

Well my lil princess slept til 9am and that was from 7.30 last night, it was bliss a long lie.

MrsT reading your post bout falling out with OH sounds just like me. We very rarely fall out but when we do I'm all mouth and it's the tutting that gets on my OH nerves.

My folks are having El tomoro night I'm going out on a hen nite and OH is having a boys nite in.

  • SB - Hello! I missed you :D the wii fit is fun but I can't say I've used it for any seriois exercise...in fact I haven't used it for much at all recently :o
The wii is lots of fun for other things though - highly recommended as a console, although not easy for small kids because you need a bit of accuracy when you point it. There used to be a thread in the arms for people who were using the wii fit to actually get fit/lose weight...but haven't ventured down to the arms for ages!!

Feelie - I try and let Benjamin rule his own day where possible (unless I need to do something). I am very much of the opinion that if baby is happy somewhere / doing something then they should be left there if possible. He will have years and years of being told what to do and when so I try and give him some freedom now. Plus it means that I can get some ironing / cleaning / surfing done :D

Ooo - postie just came and brought me a package from Emma-Jayne....

....I got a feeding top and a feeding dress!!!

I swear I had the top on before the postie had delivered next door - we are a semi :rotfl:

It's red (as is the dress) and fits quite well. It is one of the tops that has a split across the middle, a t-shirt with a gap! So far I likey :D

Benjamin is biting my nipples again though

Fingers crossed for me then! I was out all day today and came back to a card from the postie - I missed a packet that was too big for my letterbox. I'm not expecting anything - so hopefully its from Emma-Jane. I don't really do dresses - but if its free! :j

Right - just going back to catch up.

Grr, stoopid laptop just lost a second power pack... Hubby's popping to maplins on his way home to pick up an emergency universal charger, hope they have one in stock, I think he would have a seizure at the thought of a weekend with no Internet... And he really doesn't have the patience for the iPod...

Tine, could there be something causing your blocked ducts? Does your bra fit ok? Or does the pump you're using dig in anywhere? Might be worth just keeping an eye out so you can avoid it in future... Can understand you being narked with your hubby for paying more attention to the xbox, if it was my hubby I'd probably just end up bursting into tears... Everything seems to make me blart at the minute...
