CG - shes bat !!!!!! nuts I’ve never heard that before – made me snort my coffee! :rotfl::rotfl:
Emlou – We’ve got a very spoilt little girl who won’t go down awake – well she sort of does, but I have to sit next to her ‘shussing’ til she goes off. I believe in controlled crying but its just not possible in this house. DS has autism, and one of his ‘things’ is hyper-sensitive hearing. So if baby crys, he screeches and gets distressed, making baby cry louder and so on! Don’t know what we can do really! Anyone have any tips
Caz – Hugs! It must be the day for them!
Mine had a day off work yesterday, and my only request was that he goes to the tip. I asked in the morning if we could go to Ikea - but he said we won't have time, he needs to go to the tip. So, he plays on Wii and Xbox all day, and starts to load the car to go to the tip at 3 – just in time for him to be out for the school run and the after school/tea time chaos!
Then, as I was going shopping this morning with his mum, and i'd planned to get the train straight from the school run - I asked if he could hang about and help get us all organised. I got up at half 6 and fed baby. Then got the other two up and dressed, saw DS off to school and then got baby dressed, did DD's hair etc. In the meantime, he's having a nice leisurley shower, a coffee, checking his email etc etc. Then he asks if I need any help before he goes! Unless he was going to dress me and do me some make-up there wasn't a lot left!
(oops - that turned into a bit of a rant!)
Anyway, its hard enough with 3 children - god only knows how you manage with 5 Caz!
We had a good shopping day today - baby was lovely all day, very happy in her pram, grinning at everyone who spoke to her.
I've not been to Liverpool for ages - its changed so much - I kept getting lost!
I got some of the not-trumpette socks from Debenhams - they're very cute, only £3 for two pairs but they look a lot bigger than the trumpettes.
Got lots of stuff in Primark - all for the children, except a pair of sandals for me.
Absolutely shattered now!:beer:0 -
Hi scruffy,
I'm hunting for stuff for you but it doesn't seem like you will be offered extra appointments, although this might vary according to where you live. There's only a 40% chance of it recurring in a subsequent pregnancy. Is there anything specific I can look up for you?
Sorry not to be more help!

actually although not many women seem to be offered extra care for obstetric cholestasis, the NICE guidelines for the management of pregnancy do say:
"Women who have experienced any of the following in previous pregnancies:
• recurrent miscarriage (three or more consecutive pregnancy losses or a mid-trimester loss)
• preterm birth
• severe pre-eclampsia, (H) hemolytic anaemia, (EL) elevated liver enzymes, and (LP) low platelet count (HELLP syndrome) or eclampsia
• rhesus isoimmunisation or other significant blood group antibodies"
would require more than the typically expected antenatal care (obstetric cholestasis causes elevated liver enzymes), so it seems you should be offered some extra help....

Well done caz...that is a bargain:)
3 - All I can think of is earplugs, you can get all different types from boots/chemists. Wax, foam, silicone.......But will he tolerate anything like that in his ears??
I spent this morning going through all our finances today trying to work out if we can afford for me to stay off work. Turns out we can't, we would be about £5000 worse off, and we just can't afford to drop that much. If it was just £1000 or even £2000 I may have been able to wing it.....
That said, if we have to pay childcare then that will probably eat up most of the £5000 anyway, in which case there would not be much point me going back. As it stands, we are planning for me to swap my contract with a colleague, so I will just work Saturday and Monday, which means DH can have kids on Saturdays and as he has soooooo many holidays from uni he can have them on Mondays too, except in term time:)
I am a bit gutted really as I was hoping it would work out that it is not worth me going back;)
