Hi - if you want to add daughter to your own car insurance as an additional driver try Liverpool Victoria.Thiey are fairly reasonable if your own car is a small ormedium family car. They are not competitive if your daughter wants to insure a car in her own name.If she wants to take out her own policy see my post on thread about 17 year olds insurance.0

I think Tescos and also elephant are good for young drivers, Bell is ment to be good for anyone with zero NCB but then the next yr you dont get much of a discount0

Hi. I'm 19 and my insurance needs renewing on the 20th may.
I drive a 1.1 saxo and haven't had any crashes etc.. I also did a pass plus.
Finding a decent quote was ridiculous the 1st year, cheapest I found was £1000 TPFT with norwich.
The cheapest I've found is norwich this year (695 TPFT) but I'm guessing their renewal price will be different to this price I found on net?
Quinn direct - £769.24.
Anyone got any others I could try who are cheaper?
I did search on confused.com and the cheapest I found were the 2 above.
ALSO. Am I better off ringing up or doing it online? Online companies offer discounts ie 20% off, but I found last year that online prices were ridiculous.
Is £700ish a good quote for my age /car etc as it doesn't seem that cheap to me?
Thanks for all your help0 -
Hi mate, stick with it, there more no claims and the older you get the better! Until then though, try elephant, tha AA, barcleys and confused.com. I have found these good in the past

I'd also suggest Elephant - they were by far the cheapest for me as a new driver. In fact, I saved £800 by switching to them in my second year of driving (Directline had quoted me a whopping £1,500!). They do seem to benefit newer drivers though - they were extremely competitive for my first three years with them, but now I have a bit more experience, they're not so low so I have switched to another company. I'd definitely give them a try though to compare to the quotes you have.

Hi - try https://www.eCarinsurance.co.uk who are a new internet only company.Their prices for under 21's are usually cheap and sometimes mindblowing. They are fully authorized etc and belong to all the compensation schemes.
