Much easier to sell if you're offering a car with 10+ months MOT. Maybe then you'll get more for it.0

Have you tried confused.com. My mum always used to insure through her name with me as a named driver, but this was xxx yrs ago! could be worth investigating?0

bell.co.uk keep spouting on TV how good they are for 0 no claim drivers. Or try a broker, when i got my first car i bought an imported Celica and prices were over 2grand. My Dad phoned the broker he uses for his company and managed to get them to under a grand by giving 5 years introductory bonus.0

Hi there,
With me i was insured on my dads car as a named driver then got my own insurance at the beginning of the year for my own car.
We are with direct line, they were the cheapest i could find. It also helps that they give discount if you already have another car in the household insured with them and another discount if you insure online! :T
Id say the best plan is insuring through yourself with him/her added on as a named driver for about a year then changing policy.

£1800 for an insurance group 7, Toyota Paseo 1.5 16v dual overhead cam, multipoint injection engine, (I'm 17, F/C 0NCB) and thats with Churchills, next closest I found was NU at £2300, but have you tried tescos? They seem fairly good.
But it would work out alot cheaper to get your son (?) on your insurance, only problem is he won't get any NCB so when he wants his own insurance he will still have high premiums, unless you use Direct Line who apparently give NCB to named drivers as well.
To get the quotes down, say his mileage will be low (5k miles a year or less) SDP ONLY, and just generally play around, I found out on my car, with some companies, if I put my girlfriend as a named driver, and it actually reduced the premium. Try and go F/C where financially possible, I found the difference was about £60 which is nothing to worry about. Also make sure you tell them the car is fully alarmed, completely standard, it has a factory fitted imobiizer, if you wish, as I have become quite an expert on car insurance, I can help you try and get that premium down, email me on aj3001@gmail.com if you require any help0
