    Well, I now have my PAC. I gave up and decided just to pay my ETF as I've only a couple of months left. He went on about how the change wouldn't affect me because I don't seem to have gone abroad very much. I said I went to Austria and used 3 like home in Feb 08, he said that's too long ago! Seriously warped logic. Anyway, nevermind, looks like I'm a little nearer being free of them.
  • Hi guys. just phoned up again and got £10 per month knocked off my contract! Result - down to £8 per month with good handset (nokia e71). No fight required!!

    I went to the 3Store as requested - who looked at the site - agreed with what it said, but also stated that it was a c/s issue and that they couldn't help. - So - one very wet, unhappy bunny!
    I've subsequently sent an email to customer services, but in the meantime, if a 'friend' has had their contract cancelled....then I may have more luck.

    I will try and report back later once. I have phoned them to move me onto PAYG and also for my wife.

    But the lady i spoke to did say she would leave a note on my account. And i did hear her type sometine in the computer. But i could have been "dont give this guy a thing" LOL

    Never mind mate. I thought they might do something like that. They did the same thing when I wanted reduce my line rental when upgrading, so they looked at my previous bills to see how much I used to only then suggest M&M100 would have been better suited to me then the M&M300 I was on, thus reducing my line rental by dropping down a tariff. The cheek of it!

    Congratulations, but isn't that just an upgrade with a loyalty discount? Unless you were within your minimum term?

  • no , sorry - didnt phrase that correct. I had taken out this contract about 3 months ago. they have modified it to the end of the contract

    Has everyone who has used this to get contract cancelled / reduction in charges used this service in past? I'd give my left nut to ditch 3 as the coverage is appalling but have 10 months or so to go, have never used this service (doesnt mean I wouldnt have in future though so still to my detriment maybe?)

    I got a text this morning much along same lines as one posted, however the URL (mobile6.three.co.uk/sdf/3lhnon) doesnt mention anything about cancelling early, I assume there has been seperate SMS's sent to those who actively used the service and those that didnt
