I have just spoke to 3
They offered me the £20 but i refused.
So got put throught to Customer Options
The lady in Customer Options gave me 4 options
1. 30 days notice, no Termination fee
2. PAC Code to leave, no Termination fee
3. Change to PAYG, no Termination fee
4. £20 Credit
I said i would phone back. Note put on my account so i dont have to explain everything again and again.0 -
I got this text from a friend (i didnt recieve it directly from Three) I called them this morning, after 45 minutes I gave up, they are denying all knoledge of this and would not do anything further until I could give them a link to thier site saying about this - I explained that the link I had was a mobile site, and "no sir, sorry this doesnt exist"
I was looking at it and read it word for word to her, "no sir, sorry" Asked for a manager, none available and I would get a call back within the hour - that was at 5 hours ago.
I have writtne a letter, and sent it recorded. Will write back when, and indeed if I get a reply - but knowing how bad Three are at everything I fear this is going to take a lot more effort on my part.
PS - my link was the same, but with mobile7 in the address, not 60 -

This is definitely a result for those who are still in contract. Better use your get out of jail free card now whilst you still can. Why did you have to think about it? Most people would have jumped at that opportunity. Lets hope they don't go back on their word!0 -

Thinking about it that may actually make sense, they have the right to withdraw any service they like, but unless it's specifically excluded (e.g as an add-on service) then withdrawing it still counts as a variation to the price plan. Therefore people can cancel.
Which would explain why three customre services called me to offer a £10/month discount off the line rental. I thought I no longer had a case so I accepted.
So now paying £10/month for 1100 cross net minutes plus 2300 3to3 minutes... If the network was reliable I'd never even think of leaving, as is, I'll probably still be off elsewhere when the contract is up.0 -

Cause my wife has a 3 mobile also.
And i will ring back when she is with me and cancel both at same time.
I wanted to keep my number. So it is between PAC code and PAYG.0 -

Hi Andy -
If you manage to get your PAC without termination fee, would you please PM me and let me know.
I've been on the phone to them sooo many times today and they've had me trawling around Newcastle to the 3Store - cos they couldn't see the info on that mobile link.
I went to the 3Store as requested - who looked at the site - agreed with what it said, but also stated that it was a c/s issue and that they couldn't help. - So - one very wet, unhappy bunny!
I've subsequently sent an email to customer services, but in the meantime, if a 'friend' has had their contract cancelled....then I may have more luck.
Cheers,

I just had a punt at this, got as far as Customer Options who refused my cancellation request (without penalty), because they could not find a record on my account of having received the message. Also refused to put me onto a manager - they 'kindly' spoke to them on my behalf!
They agreed the message has been sent and people have been cancelling because of it, but if there is not record on the account, they refuse to let you out without charging. The chap I 'debated' this with, claimed to have cancelled 3 peoples accounts like this today already.
Looks like a arsey letter from me tonight then! What address are people using for this? I'm not giving up.0 -
Very interesting. I'm on the phone to three atm. Just managed to get what I want through to the first lady, she tried the stuff about the early termination fee a couple of times, I then quoted the link I posted above, and she eventually gave in. Now I'm on hold to disconnections...

Just found the link on another forum, by googling the phrase you quoted:
http://mobile6.three.co.uk/sdf/3lhactive1
Note its a mobile site so it'll only work if you view it from your 3 phone.
