If you use "3 like home" read this- possible reason to cancel??

I managed to get my wife's account cancelled using TLH as a reason. Never spoke to them once - refused, said would only communicate in writing/email.

Only downside is that original request was made 27 May 2009, PAC not generated until 15 June 2009 - not sure if can be bothered to fight it though as got her out of previous 3 contract on per minute billing last year so feel a tiny bit guilty.

Now the search begins for a replacement deal - her old one was pretty good though: SE902 on M&M 500 for £20 PCM. Gonna be tough to beat that.

Simple. Unlock the SE902 and go sim only with either o2 or T-Mobile. Far better deals to be had if you don't require a new phone.

True, but the battery's failing after 9 month so would like a new handset.

True, but in previous experience they're not that reliable (or genuine) and she'd also like a new handset. With the £150 Quidco deal on Orange at the mo, it makes things more attractive.

Hi, long time lurker, 1st time poster :hello:
After 2 phone calls to 3 CS lasting almost an hour and half each! I managed to cancel both mine and my husbands contract due to 3LH on Mon 8th June. We had both our PAC codes text to us whilst ending the conversations. All was confirmed that no ETFs would be charged. I also asked about cancelling the DD. Both times I was told not to worry as they would cancel it at their end (never the less I would be keeping a close eye around the time the bill was due). They also confirmed that a paper bill would be sent as we both were on paperless billing.

Anyhoo, our numbers were successfully ported to Vodafone last Wed (17th June). I decided to check my bank account today as our bills are due to come out any day to find that the DD has already been cancelled. I phoned my bank straight away and they confirmed that it had been cancelled by H3G, I asked when but she said it just says the same date as the last bill was taken. She also noted that there had been a payment request made by H3G on the 19th June (last Fri) but they had rejected it due to the fact that they had already cancelled the DD themselves.

I'm really sorry to go on so much in my 1st post but I'm just a little concerned as to whats going on now???:huh:

They took this months line rental from me too. I'm on the phone getting it back, just glad they have a free phone number this is taking forever.
