Has anyone had their final bill yet? Just to make sure that they're doing exactly what they're saying? Although its probably still too early for that.
And thanks to everyone here who's offered advice etc, I don't think we would have been able to have such success without coming together like this.0 -
I had to explain to " customer " optioner, o2 roaming texts were 4 for 1 to anywhere in the world out of my text allowance & 3like home beat that for me so I joined 3 and the 3 roaming rates were EXPENSIVE in comparison to o2 ROAMING texts & I was now having to defect back to o2 now, the change was so detrimental I have no choice in this global recession but to defect to o2 as my roaming texts would not cost me a penny over my priceplan wherever in the world I was
Mate got a 24 month contract on o2, 100 mins unlimited texts for just over £7.50 a month with the £175 cashback cheque on redeeming first bill as proof, as they are travelling for a year it covers them abroad, with o2 you can also get UNLIMITED INTERNATIONAL Blackberry data for £23.50 a month as a minimum 3 month bolt on & with FREE international 4 for 1 texts they are happy as larry & im getting a few pints tomorrow
Everyone's a winner

If so what number did you phone and how much (if anything) did they charge?0 -

As would I. I also have an E71.
I am still waiting to see if they send the bag for me to send my phone back. If they do I will ring them back and ask for information that says I have to send it back. At that point I hope to get my phone unlocked too and keep it on a Pay as you Go tariff until mid-July and see if there is a new iPhone released.0 -
in order to get your unlock code - you just need to call 333. They should be able to see that your plan is terminated. HOWEVER - you might not actually be able to get your code until after the plan has terminated - therefore, just call em up in June. It normally costs £15-16 - they take the money from a credit/debit card, and in some cases are able to get your unlock code straight away (depending on the phone model) otherwise, it'll be a couple of days before the code will be sent to you.
If memory serves me correctly, the last time I unlocked a phone with 3, they emailed it to me, along with full instructions of how to do it.

I'm on 3 Mobile Broadband £15 a month for 5 gigs of data. I got it specifically because living in Belfast I occasionally have to go to Dublin for work and wanted a data package that would work in both countries. Plus I have booked a trip to Australia soon with my wife and we wanted to be able to check email, movie times etc while away without worrying about Wi-Fi etc.
I popped my 3 Broadband SIM into an old unlocked N95 and explained to the customer service person I wanted to cancel and explained my reasons for taking the 3 Contract were for 3 Like Home specifically. He told me I would need to pay to cancel and transferred me to cancellations.
I rehearsed my problem again for the cancellations person (explaining that I had actually asked when taking the contract out SPECIFICALLY about 3 Like Home) and was offered 1 month of Line Rental free to cover "times when you're not able to use it". I explained again the POINT in choosing 3 was that I wanted to be ABLE to use it abroad. At that point she offered to cancel, I checked there was no cancellation charge and was told that I had only to pay my last month of Line Rental.
That's that. Job done.
I was polite and pleasant throughout, and always thanked them for their kind offers to help make it cheaper but explained repeatedly that the contract was now useless for the purpose I bought it, meaning it was decidely detrimental to me.
Your mileage, of course, may vary.0 -
well, im on an 18 month contract, earliest i can upgrade would of been the 27th of june, however just used the 3 at home and they said immediately that i can end the contract, it ends on 21st of june, wouldnt offer me any upgrades early or anything, just simply transferred me to payg.
i tried all the " what are you gonna offer me to stay" malarky but he wouldnt have it........
i just said, i wish to end my contract because you have changed TC`s with regards to the 3 at home service.
he said, when was the last time you went abroad?
i said , what does that matter?
he said i`ll put you through to another department.
on hold for 30 mins, i suspect that they do this on purpose for you to hang up.
bloke come on the line and was pretty matter of fact, and i got me contract ended ealry, should of ended 14th of october!!!!!!!!!1
many thanks to this thread.
also to point point out
i never received the text message, got it forwarded off my brother, i simply printed out the pdf some one uploaded earlier on in the thread and stated where it said i could cancel, i have never received any correspondance from three stating that the 3 at home service was ending or changing..........

I emailed them a pretty 'controlled' email and within an hour I had a call from them. Within 15 mins I was assure that come 20 June 09 my contract will be no more.....Iam well stoked....I have had such a battle with them since my last upgrade. I have been assured that there is NO termination fee. 90% of me wants to celebrate but the remaining 10% is keeping skeptical until the final bill comes in. I have been a mainly silent reader on this thread but would like to thank those of you who have posted - you gave me the confidence to not be walked over anymore from this company. Thank you.
Could you PM me that e-mail address?0
