Well we are, but my questions about "what mattresses are best", as in the brands, would still never be answered, no matter where in MSE I met you.

Look on the other threads........do you understand??????????????????

    Don't be so bloody patronising.
You will not give out details of the mattresses you think are better, because of your 'background'. So no matter where I go in this forum, I will not find that answer.

    Period!

Ok, please let me ask you something, as I have NO trouble understanding.
These mattresses that you say are high quality and turnable: do you mention there names in those threads?
Please don't come back and just say to look etc etc..... simple question: do you mention the brands?

How many times do I have to tell you.....I don't recommend anything on here, but as you have rubbished all I have said so far, then you wouldn't be interested anyway. However other people may have mentioned them. If you take the time to read the threads then you will find out.

You have been so rude throughout this thread that I no longer have any interest in helping you. So you can do some leg work yourself, as I am ignoring you from now on..........GOODBYE

As I thought - it's pointless because you won't/can't reveal it, so I don't see the point in trying hard to find out when you apparently KNOW the answer.
Why search everywhere, when one person has it?

Ignore all you want. This thread has been fairly worthless anyway, as all that seems to have happened is slate STL, slate salesmen, and then because I didn't like the attitude of people on here - slate me! haha.

So yeah, I have to say goodbye too.

Why are you still here Edelman?

All you have done since you joined mse is be rude to the onw person who has tried to help you, complained about mse rules, and complained that you might have to do some work yourself. All in all you have just tried to be as disruptive as possible.

Tim has helped many people on mse, who have all taken his advice, then done some searching using the advice he has given. Don't criticise Tim for following forum rules. If you hadn't been so rude, then I would have recommended a manufacturer, but because of your appalling attitude you can search for yourself.

I don't blame you for ignoring him Tim, I would have done that after his first post. Keep up the good work. :T:T:T:T
    Utter rubbish.
Advice given, sometimes has been good. But even down to a consumer saying they find a bed to be supportive and comfortable, he thinks that we are not knowledge enough to know they are comfortable and supportive?
    What?????

Maybe then we should never ever buy a bed, because we are all stupid and don't know how we feel when we buy something.

Even the Sleep Council states HOW TO BUY A BED. So I follow that to the letter. I find beds that are exactly as they describe should feel to me - and because I don't have 'bed industry knowledge', it will probably still be rubbish, eh?

    It's so funny.

I do know that he is not allowed to give out brands for some pathetic rule on this web site. But he is telling me to go elsewhere to get the answer. He knows the answer, so it's far easier to just give it. Less pain, and frankly better advice.

I suspect if I walk into any store and then come to a forum that someone with that attitude is on, and say the salesperson was very informative and helpful, and had all the time in the world for me - that sort of person on a forum would simply be cynical about that. I would really love - oh so LOVE to walk into the shop that THEY own to find out what they are like in the same sales position.

I came here looking for advice on STL. Actually, if you read this thread, there isn't any advice on it at all. A few people have posted how they have enjoyed owning one, but on the whole, before I came here (reading it all before), it's simply been slating any style a salesperson takes. It rightly slates the gimmick of that special bed, but, on my laying on it, it did find the best and most comfy bed for me out of their entire range. So there must be 'something' in it. Possibly just weight.

I have been to three of four local towns looking for beds. I don't know of every bed store in the area, but have been to A LOT. They ALL state that turnable mattresses tend to be the cheaper style, and not the comfy supportive ones.

So I am unable to go anywhere else to track down what is apparently so good that Tim is talking about. He is endlessly go on about how good something else is. Quite rightly, he doubtless knows what he is talking about - BUT.... bloody damn useless when he either won't break a stupid rule and just NAME IT, or even say "search for ******" and you will find something you want.

I know this is not a sales site, but surely, I can still make my own informed decision, once I find something that he or anyone promotes. Or, ignore it!

Anyhow, looking forward to more rubbish coming my way, as this thread is clearly now go nowhere, but trying to play school playground bully!! Beat up the guy that doesn't know the answers, even though he tries to get blood out of a stone.

    OK guys, more information.

We have had our matress a little while now and a few weeks ago we contacted Benson's as we have always expressed the opinion that my wife's side seems a little too soft for her.

Under the 40 night gaurantee we asked for the matress to be replaced and Benson's promised to deal with it. They called me last week to say the new matress was in and it was exchanged on Saturday 24th April 2010.

The new matress does have the label on it stating made in the USA 10/23/2010 which is obviously 23rd March 2010.

Now I can honestly say and with experience, Benson's for Beds have stuck to their word and they have exchanged the matress with no arguments, no hmm! well's, it was straight forward. I would recommend that if you are in the position of changing the bed you phone Benson's customer service and also write to them (recorded delivery) as a back up and proof you have requested an exchange. Not that I have had any problems I always do this as a matter of course if I wish to report something is not right.

So I will say the service is excellent. Really Excellent *****

Now, we'll see if my wife's side of the bed is more suitable to her, which I am sure it would be.

I had promised to update in an earlier post, so I have.

Hmm.....Davidmparkes hasn't been back since, and hasn't posted on any other threads. Obviously a Bensons employee :rotfl:

    Hi guys,

Just for the record, we've had the bed a while now and its great, by the way as for the comment I must be a Benson's employee, boy did I laugh my socks off.

I stand by what I said, we are very happy with our matress and no I'm not a Benson's employee, why cannot people simply say they purchased a product, had an excellent service and are now happy with a product, is that such a crime. I never said the matress was cheap, I've always said its more than I would have wanted to pay, but hey, its a great product, a good matress and we sleep well on it. END OF.

By the way Cassandra, how long have you worked for Tim Deegan?

We purchased a sleep2live bed recently and although the mattress is excellent there was a problem with the drawers in base unit, the amount of grief we have had trying to get this matter resolved through Bensons beds is unbelievable, their customer service department stinks, no one will take responsibly for problems, you are promised call backs from managers that do not happen, and don`t even try to get hold of a senior manager.
Great mattress shame you can only buy them through BENSONS and because of this I would not recommend them.

Me and the lady are looking to buy a new bed as suffering a bit from back problems, which brings me on to.....

Has anyone bought a 'SLEEP TO LIVE' bed????? They are by far the most expensive beds, and claim lots of things. They get you trying out a 'special' single bed that measures pressure etc etc and gives you an indication of what sort of mattress you should go for. Must admit i'm always a tad worried about these sort of things, wondering whether they are just clever (if u can call it that) marketing tactics.

Anyone who has bought one your feedback would be appreciated
